Crap day yesterday and a glance at the cards today may see more suffering lol.
Ayr 115 ambush Annie at 14s ew 4 places.
This is anybodies so bottom weight with a 7lb claim looks a wise choice placed 3rd lto over 18f here the step up might help .
I can see them all suffering in this so fingers crossed the weight will tell.

Hello again, team. Hope everyone well and had a great Christmas.

And now, with less than 3 dozen hours on the old 2024 clock, seems like an ideal time to wish everyone, and I do mean everyone, a very 'Happy New Year'.

But what are we most, racing wise, looking forward to in the first few weeks of 2024, crew??? For me it has to be North Lodge going for the Pertemps Qualifier, at Warwick, on Saturday week (13th). Hopefully he'll sneak into one of the minor qualifying berhts (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...) before then having a real go in the Final at the Festival. The last thing that, I would imagine, connections would want would be a 10 length romp at Warwick as he's already perched on 142 (again nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...)!!!

6.30 Wolves I'm taking a chance on Doha Bu Thaila EW at 14/1. Looks just about best on pedigree and was 7/13 btn only 6¾L, despite being slowly away and weakening over 1f out. He must have lost a few lengths in the final furlong and at the start. I'm taking a chance that this was a gentle introduction and he will strip fitter today

Apparently abandoned 5 mins before the first race as there were concerns that the ambulance wouldn’t be able to follow the race as there’s no service road. Fair enough but if you’ve sent your horse from Wales you’d be properly pissed off.

    (15:45) Ayr - Fia Fuinidh

Favouite, and will be very to tough to beat.

13/8 (Wm.Hill/Ladbrokes) best price at time of writing.

Apparently 18/1 available with Corals. Looks a 2 horse race according to the betting but at 7/4 and 15/8 I wouldn't be interested in those

Went out to 20s and then back in to 14s and not really ever in it, under pressure someway out. Whether or not that was due to the early crawl, allowing the fav to dictate from the front, I don't know but, from someway out, the writing was on the wall

Just a bit of housekeeping re the above. Sadly, North Lodge, has suffered a tendon injury and is now out for the season.

Such a shame and he now looks set for another long spell on the sidelines (was also out for 602 days from April '22 to December '23). If he does return in term 2024/25 I would imagine it wlll be over fences as North Lodge is likely to be as an 8YO (or be almost an 8YO) before his next racecourse appearance.
