https://news.sky.com/story/wayne-ro...city-manager-after-83-days-in-charge-13040847 I’ve nothing against the man personally but I feel slightly smug about the Birmingham owners fking up. They should never have got rid of Eustace. They 5hat in their bed and they are now lying in it.
I don’t understand clubs sacking their manager whilst they are doing well and in the top half of the table, some owners are clueless
it sort of fits in with the theory of getting rid before some easier games are on the horizon and often a short breathing space ! lost his first game after Brum had just 3-1 /4 -1 wins tucked under their belts and were 5th on 18 points! Just 3 wins and 4 draws with 8 losses! see them at 20th BUT the bigger picture is they only 12 points off top 6! with none of the teams from 4th to 19th really setting the division on fire
Eustace was doing ok, the new owners wanted a high profile manager. It backfired. 12 points and 14 clubs off the top 6 . They have decent players and shouldn’t be down the bottom fighting relegation
We sacked a manager when we were 8th in the table a few years back….. …… just saying …… I’ll get my coat…..
and another when just 4 points off top 6! .. amazing 2030 and poppedout into garden ... was quite warm and not a breath of wind! 2015 it was blowing a gale! ... didnt need a coat!
Lot been written about WR last couple of days! another screw up by the management team [ directors/ owner ] Had a look at Dame Nellie and Uddersfield! well had Neil maintained his results and more than likely to have ! he would have Them on 30 pts or /and 18th! In the same vein assuming JE maintained his form then Brum would be on 74 points!!!!! even if you reduced the points haul by 8 points would still have been in top 7 or 8!
Their owners still haven’t learnt their lessons - they are interested only in big name former players rather than management prowess…. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/n...d-as-a-potential-option-for-the-managers-job/
