Another injury for him. With his age too, he needs replacing. I’d sell him asap and get someone tougher and younger in. Add CF to the priority list now..
Said this a ****ing year ago. Blind people didn't believe it. Ashworth said midfield was absolute priority. ****ing Club needs to sack that useless idiot.
His age? He's 31 not 99. He's the same age as Salah who just ripped us apart. Being 31 wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't constantly injured, but he is.
There is a distinct possibility that the Mackems will be truly up for it against us so for me 50/50. All our PL games in January look decidedly difficult to gain any points. By then we could be in the bottom half of the table. Our only saving grace will be signings , if any, in the winter transfer slot. If things do stay as bad as now I genuinely think Eddie may resign as he thinks he can't take them any further. Can't see any European football for us next season so we can use the time to build our squad for the following season.
Yes anyone that can read the game can see Wilsons pace is completely gone and that was a huge part of his game. Age isn't a clock in terms of when a players legs go, so comparing him with another player is just daft! Just use your eyes instead.
Just use your eyes instead then cos you've basically repeated my point - ie being 31 isn't necessarily an issue if the striker is fit and performing but Wilson isn't. Gayle was a similar age when we got rid of him, Wilson isn't as bad as that but needs upgrading.
No I haven't I've rubbished your point because age is just a number. Everyone is different and legs can go at different times. Wilsons pace has gone.
You do realise we are literally 2 points off European football with half the season to go?! Btw this thread is titled Wilson and your post has nothing to do with him.
No you compared him with Salah so I advised that's daft for the reason I gave not you. You're the king of bullshit.
So just enforcing the fact that age is irrelevant, as other players can be top level strikers at Wilson's age. Wilson's injury record has always been a concern, and thus I've never had confidence in him as a regular striker and always wanted a more consistent option. You even say "age is just a number", literally trying to tell me the point I was making.
Age is the issue his legs have gone and the number is irrelevant. Needs replacing anyway I think we can agree on that.
And we are approaching similar issues here - I cited the fact his injury record is bad irrespective of his age and he can't be relied on, you cited the fact his legs have gone irrespective of his age. What exactly is the difference in your argument to mine?
You mentioned the number and compared it with another player. Can we just agree his legs have gone and leave it at that ? Which is my point.
