Nowt wrong with positive mate, but I'm sure some posters (naming no names) do it on purpose...Leicester we aint, which reminds me they got a lucky point at the Wendies, but some people seemed to forget that, or don't know, and predict three goal margin victories....Not going to happen in a million years against teams who exhibit some fight and take the game to us. Man Citeh we are not.
Look I know this would probably be hated for me saying it but... the FA and football in general needs to look at the NFL on how to do it when there's multiple games on. Have a centralised hub that is there to be used when called upon. I would give managers 2 "challenges" per game that can be sent to the 4th and allow for the game to continue. Obviously still bring them in for offsides (until they do the right thing and bring in the automated one they had in the world cup) but doing this would allow for the game to flow whilst giving some accountability of the officials. Say Morton's tackle today. Rosenior asks the 4th for another look. VAR looks at it whilst the injury is being treated. If its not a clear and obvious error then stick with then on field decision. Alas they wont do this but I genuinely think it would work
And yet, I'm sure you weren't complaining when we climbed the table up to fifth at one point, and now we're still only one win off that position. I'll be ****ing condescending where it's due, the bloke whinges every week that Rosenior is clueless, yet half a season's worth of football that's got us into the playoff race suggests he's outperforming most people's expectations. We've had some shockers, we've had some superb displays, inconsistency comes when you have a young team, hence why we're looking at a couple of more experienced players.
Lol - I was thinking about us potentially getting promoted! (I know, we'd have to put up with that VAR bullsh!t if we did - unless we see sense and ditch it!) I'm honestly not fussed about going up this season. IF we get into the play offs that will be a huge stride in the right direction - although atm I wouldn't be confident about us beating Southampton, Ipswich or TWS over 2 legs. I said from day one we re a top 10 team and top 6 would be a bonus for me. What will be will be...
That is what they do now in the PL. There arent "challenges" - everything is looked at They do stop play if necessary.
The Wendies player, might have been Windass or Bannan, not sure, doing a Laurence Olivier act in front of the ref and demanding a card, didn't help Morton's cause. I thought the refs were supposed to be clamping down on that, but it seemed to do the exact opposite on this occasion. Fair play to them, better side from Minute 1.
Thank you for proving my point. Limiting the amount of interference from VAR and giving some accountability would help
The big problem is that because Rosey is not the manager and any signings are not his choice, that’s why we ended up with the likes of Sinik, I have sympathy with that, but he knew what he was taking on when he took the job, the Wendy manager has come in and turned them into the form team from the off, now, who would you say is the better manager? the man with a year under his belt losing to a team 2nd bottom, or a manager whose team are 2nd bottom out thinking the team in 7th?
My 8th finish is looking okay. Wish I had had the balls to put a few shekels on it. Still loads of games to be played, but I think this run may not be over yet and will put an end to any aspirations of a top 6 finish come May. Hope I'm wrong.
Jan transfer window is huge IMO. Depending on who we can/ can't get will determine whether we maintain a play off challenge or not
football is never as simplistic as that money matters who selects the players to buy or get on loan matters managers pick the players, formation and style of play you cant judge a manager over one match
I would prefer the ref to maybe look at replays on incidents to decide himself on certain decisions, not VAR, the ref today will have been thinking about that for quite a while, and when he sees it again may have thought it wasn’t a red, at first look, to me, it looked like a dangerous tackle, and a red, but replays showed it wasn’t that bad. **** VAR off and let refs on the pitch decide without prompting from afar
Couldn't understand taking Delap off with 30 minutes left. There's no need for him to play against Birmingham in the Cup, so he'll have plenty of time to rest before the Norwich game. Looked like damage limitation to me.
How do refs get a chance to look at replays themselves without someone telling them to stop the game and check?
VAR looks at play all the time so the referee doesnt have to stop the game to look at it. the referee only looks at a decision if it's a matter of judgement.
