I think it is a good chance to get overturned but can understand the argument for why it's given purely for the way he goes into it, regardless of how he actually connects with the Wednesday player.
We know Rosenior disagrees. That's why people are complaining. I dont know who on here who said that we should take Connolly off.
By the laws it was a reckless challenge and the important thing is it looked two footed especially as the ref looked at it. I dont really know what they take into account with these appeals outside of the ref's report but I can't see them overturning it personally
not Rosie's finest moment mistake 1 starting Greaves and Lokilo on the left - between them they left acres of space on the left mistake 2 - taking off Macca and bringing on Christie for the second half - huge mistake - Macca was arguably our best defender in the first half and Greaves was really poor - that change cost us the match - it was totally unnecessary
I don't see that as reckless. Neither did the sky commentators- maybe a yellow but it certainly wasn't an over the top of the ball tackle. If that's a red then there will be red cards every game every week
Lokilo trundles up to the full back and then doesnt have the confidence to cross or go past him and passes back. Macca is mostly solid in defence but Rosie cant rate him.
Its certainly borderline and it will probably boil down to how the ref reports it. Its just so rare these get overturned because its a subjective thing. Reminds me of Oscar's red against Millwall. We appealed and it got denied if I recall
It is coming. There's far too much money in the championship now. We already have goal line tech at most championship grounds
More than happy with goal line technology. But if we are going to have the bollocks that is VAR in the PL and the Championship, then that takes about 25 refs a week out of the playing field and watching screens - when there is a shortage of good refs, what is that going to do to the game?
I was under the impression it may not be at some smaller ones but I've googled it and it is at every ground. England and Italy are the only countries to have it in their respective second tiers. All the more reason VAR is inevitable
