On LUTV Farke suggested that earlier in the season he didn’t believe Rutter had the discipline to play 10 (and in fairness I can understand that, as he does lose the ball quite a bit in transition). However they’ve noticed a more disciplined side to him.

I think Bamford does lead the line the best of those we’ve got. Just wish he could score a good few more goals, thought he did well today.

The shot he saved in the first half looks, at first glance, to be a run of the mill save but it's hard and low in the gap between his feet and where his arm would land. Its quite the difficult save and I thought he did well to save it.

The 2nd half when they went through one on one I thought he was very good narrowing the angle and making himself big. It looked a save to everyone but the ref gave a goal kick. Either way, the way Klaesson spread himself either forced him to shoot wide or he did actually save it.

2 very good indications that he is capable at this level. I thought he was very good with his distribution too. A great full debut and if I'm honest, the most confidence I've felt in a keeper all season.

lol yes we know Bamford will miss chances but my player of the year Rutter will miss more as a 9 and maybe Piroe will miss a lot less?

I don't know where this "Piroe can't press" stuff comes from. He's played in midfield all season. If you can't run then you certainly can't play midfield. There is no evidence to suggest Piroe can't play at 9. Quite the contrary tbh.

If you watched how Piroe played at Swansea he used to pick it up deep and as a top 2 up front so almost played as a 10. I just don’t think he fits the sole number 9 like Bamford does. But if Piroe had Bamfords good attributes and Bamford had Piroes shooting accuracy they’d both be worth 40m+ and playing for a top 10 PL side.

I saw how he played at Swansea and thought of him dropping in to 10 to receive the ball from a 9 position (think Harry Kane) and having the likes of Rutter, Summerville, James and Gnonto running in behind him. He'd drag a defender out of the back line leaving holes for our pace to exploit.

He'll be straight on the "I told you so!" Firpo bandwagon after his 2nd good game for us in 2 and a half years. :emoticon-0136-giggl

We all know his shortcomings but he might be good enough for this division so save us a bit of money this season.

And despite a bit of a love hate relationship with some Leeds fans, the majority don't half give the lad some support.

    Questions questions questions

The answers to these questions are Georginio Rutter, Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe. Farke never asked the right question but got his answer today.

some said we need a creative player, some said we need a new striker but guess what Farke had a dream and he got his answer plus it cost nothing in transfer fees.

Farke needs a new LB and more cover in defence but he has plenty of cover elsewhere if he uses his bonce

I didn’t see the game but reading a couple of reports from our group that were there, Birmingham were brutal and far too soon to try reading anything into the game really. Were they that bad? Also a bonus that Ipswich and Southampton failed to win. Didn’t expect that

No Birmingham weren't that bad and have one or two decent players such as their no' 7 who caused us problems a couple of times such as when he went through on goal.

Would have been nice to have had an interview with Tom Brady afterwards though given how exuberant and bullish they were following the match at St Andrews earlier in the season.

They weren’t great and created very little, however, it seemed that having Rutter as a No. 10 and Bamford as the number 9 made us look a lot better. The question is would we still look as good if Piroe played in place of Bamford. The main point being a few (can’t think who <laugh>) suggested Rutter might be good in the ten role.
