Same here, both were much better than 6's. I thought Neil was excellent first half

Christ I didn't know he had a wife and kids back in the Ukraine. I already felt sorry for him not speaking the language and being (wrongly imo) blanked from the first team.

Hopefully things improve for him, at least if he's getting on the pitch and playing well he'll feel the love from the fans.

You think booing a kid is appropriate?

There’s a time and place and that’s not when we are 2 up in a home game. A 20 year old kid from France that could destroy the lad.

If you have a ‘contrary opinion’ to this, then I suggest that’s for you to work out.

Tell me one single walk of life when destroying someone’s belief in themselves is going to help them.

I knows it's his first goal, but what now happens if Rusyn goes on a scoring run and gets us promoted. It could turn out that the club were spot on with how they integrated him into the team.
Yes I know he could go the season and not score again, but it does amaze me how in the last week how many fans have written off our chances but 1 win and we are still in the play offs.
That's not bad considering we haven't hit a good run so far this season, we've been very patchy to say the least.
Yes its 1 game but today seemed different, I've said earlier that I was worried because of how predictable we were, we had the same formation as normal today but the change in players made us a different team.
We had a striker playing as one, look at his goal, Clarke had the option to run at the full back rather than cut in side, that was a strikers goal just down to his timing and positioning.
Pritchard offered a totally different opinion. He played on the right but drifted around a lot, I worried when he lost his man when tracking back and Hume had to pull out of position and leave his man but they never exploited that.
I've said this loads of times, I think we have the right players we just need to be able to swap the way we play slightly, when we need to.
That was the thing that got us promoted under Neil, he set up his system and style depending on who we played, Dodds did that against Leeds and we got a result.

I would suggest, it's not my problem, or anyone else's, to worry about how old he is. He's playing for Sunderland, in front of 40k. I like him, mate...said so before...thus isnt about me at all...my issue is with people going daft about people who don't. That's allowed...it actually is...

Definite boos for Ba coming on. As poor as he was (and he was), those booing him on are absolute idiots! Should never be allowed back in. Opinion is one thing, pure jack of support fir the club (which this is) is ridiculous

Majestic every game apparently yet we’ve only kept about 5 clean sheets all season. Must be the “best CB in the league alongside him or the best DM in the league” in Neil. Sorry like but there’s no way anyone who has played football at a half decent level is arguing O’nien is a good defender.

Thought we were decent first half but second half was poor. They were shocking so I’m not taking too much from the game. Pembele looked shocking when he came on but obvs hasn’t played for a while. Ba gave the away a few times, pathetic seeing him booed when it happened. Clarke done it plenty and didn’t hear a single grumble. Hope it doesn’t affect the lad too much because he’s obviously got potential but things aren’t quite going his way at the min.

Probably my favourite moment for a while, great to see and felt like a weight had been lifted both off him and the club.

Seems likely that performance has convinced Beale he's the one to stick with.

I wish there was a giant spotlight in the stadium that beamed down on you while all the stewards grabbed your lot and slung you out so everyone could laugh at you, IMO you shouldn’t even be let in the ground.

So, you think it’s acceptable to boo a child at a live game when we are 2 up?

I never suggested they have to like him. I said there’s a time and a place , and there is.

Wonder how many of these kind of mugs were great at what they do at 20 (or now, cos blokes who jeer kids I’d be shocked if they achieve much in life)

Good to see the weight of this board agrees, as did at least 41,980 of the 42,000 in the ground.

O9 is a decent CB, im not a massive fan of him at CB n he does get caught out at times but hes also had more good games than bad at CB so i would say he is decent.

He is unlikely to ever be one of the top CBs in the league but he is proving to be a decent CB at the minute. Obviously hes nowhere near ballards level but i think hes been decent this season.

Thought o9 was very good today

Agree with the booing, lad always seems to give his all so no need for booing before hes even come on

    Mate
Ba was woeful. He didn’t “give it away a few times”, he gave it away almost every time. 3 times he had players in space and tried to beat a man, when Clarke gave it away he didn’t do it with other players in acres.
I agree about the booing mind, but Ba was terrible. I wouldn’t even mark him 2/10

So many sides going for those 5th and 6th spots. The top 4 sides won’t change.
