Just watching the Boro game and the commentators got on the conversation about Simms playing for us last season. They said he done a midnight flit from a hotel the night before an away game and didn't even bother telling anyone he was going back to Everton, nobody knew where hed gone the next morning.

I didnt know that the kunt.

O9 was very good today, my one concern with him is his habit of holding opponents in the box. He is very good at Championship level but if they ever bring VAR in he will have to change his game.

Just shows
@SAFC_Analysis
Today was the first time since 14th January that an opposition side has came to the Stadium of Light & had both more possession & a higher xG. Our xG of 0.46 is also the lowest at home since returning to the Championship last season.
And yet we cruised to 3 points…
Just shows there is more than one way to win a game. Thought Beales tactics were interesting. I think he sat off them slightly to draw them out. Certainly weren't passing sideways in front of their block. However could have backfired as Beale said post match lots of work to do on our shape out of possession
Really looking forward to see how we set up and perform against the Mags

I'd back him to do it to be fair, started out as an attacking minded midfielder, then a fullback and now a ball playing centre half.

Was pretty noticeable mate a load of people around me reacted to it.

There was a big applause for Rusyn going off and noticeable boos when said Ba name.

Not saying was widespread but it happened and was noticeable.

Well, those booing shouldn't be allowed in the ground again. This forum has firmly established that there is zero tolerance to contrary opinions, doesn't matter if they've been watching for 20 plus years or not...get them ooot!

Sitting in the concourse today for one game only and it’s given me an even better view of O’nien. (normally behind the goal in south). F*ck me this lad must perform miracles in training.
Just as he does in games, despite what some negative 'fans' are determined to say <doh>
He was almost majestic (again) today, by the way, with his man of the match performance (him or Dan Neil) :emoticon-0148-yes:

Sunderland's Michael Beale:

"The story of the game is a No 9 scores for Sunderland. He earned his goal and it has been difficult for him.

"His wife and children aren't here. That must be hard for him, with everything going on back home at this time of the year. He's been here six months and he's on to his third coach, I am delighted for him.

"You can transfer talent but someone has to be comfortable in an environment. We have to do a lot to help people settle and that goal will do him the world of good, to get a standing ovation too, what a way to start the year. Well done Naz."

Got nothing yo do with contrary opinions, we go to the game to support the team - why boo a player for coming on the pitch?

I dont agree with booing players but if someone has played n given zero.effort i can understand that people will boo him or if its a shocking team performance n effort then i get it

What i dont get is booing a player when hes coming on, we should be getting behind players in the hope that our support make them better - we shouldnt try n bring them dwn

Contrary opinions and booing you’re own players are totally different things

They're not really, are they? You can boo your own players based on a contrary opinion, based on having paid a fortune to be there. I like Ba, he'll be a good player, full of talent...however, i like me mates too, and me dad, and some of them think hes fukin awful! Theyr'e allowed to. Most have watched hundreds of games ...I don't agree with them, but they're allowed their shout. In fact, they're fully entitled to their shout, and it's meaningful :emoticon-0148-yes:

People having opinions is part of the game but booing a player as he comes onto the pitch is ****e behaviour whatever way you look at it

Given the change we have seen in O9 since he signed I have little doubt that he will adjust.
As to whether he will be be good enough to play in the Premier Leagui, I dont know, but I wouldn't rule it out.
