Regardless of what it does for draft position, it isn't fun to see the lions win their first ever NFC north title at the US Bank
Merry Christmas to my fellow vikings fans @Saintmagic and @tomw24 Hopefully father Christmas brings us a good QB to replace Kirk And merry Christmas to everyone else of course
As it's a bank holiday and I'm keen to see what Hall is like, imma watch the first few drives of this game. Is the Sunday night football theme not the most American thing ever?
A loss in the final week of the regular season could see the Vikings secure a top 10 pick. The Lions will most likely be resting players though so can see the Vikings winning and picking around about 16. If only they’d lost that **** fest against the Raiders they would be looking at a top 10 pick already
Our defence is trash again and without cousins to bail them out. Also why the hell was Hall benched? He didn't seem to play that badly, a few costly penalties and sacks. And why persist on playing Mullens in the fourth quarter when the game is gone. How the hell is that developing a quarterback? Fiver says Mullens starts v the Lions
The defence is **** on paper, Flores has been performing miracles with arguing one of the worst defences on paper in the NFL. A QB should he the priority but if all the good ones are gone by whenever the Vikings pick then defence should be the pick, rather than reaching for a QB just because (which is exactly what the Vikings did with Ponder). In theory some of the best defensive players in the draft should still be there if there is an early run on QBs. No idea how strong this class is supposed to be for defensive players though
The good thing is that looking at the teams ahead of us in the draft, I don't think QB is a pressing need for a few of them or at least pressing enough to lead to a first round pick. Think Fields is safe after how he has done this year, Sam Howell has done pretty well. Chargers will probably stick with Herbert and Connell hasn't done too badly for the raiders, Vikings game aside.. I'd imagine new England would probably draft a QB, probably the Jets as Rodgers isn't a long term option and and maybe Arizona? Not sure how much faith they have in ridder. Though even if the lions play their second string, we're probably bad enough to lose to them. At this point I just want an entertaining loss
