Saw all of those when they were released, The theme tune from 633 Squadron is probably my favourites overall
It's clear that this war, like many others started many years before the official start date of the war.
I'll check it out but I have to say the documentary was very thorough. 10 episodes each 90 mins breaking it up into years, starting in the 1950's. It started with the end of France's colonial rule and how that came about. Then the U.N. basically dividing the country in two with the promise of a referendum on reuniting which never came once the U.S. backed ruler of South Vietnam (who turned out to be a dictator) was put in with the support of the yanks.
there’s a surprise they got another extremist to back the all seeing eye…..see dollar sign for the military complex see who they back these days for example of this continuing trend
This is a really good watch and all if you haven’t seen it https://watchdocumentaries.com/the-untold-history-of-the-united-states/
Just watched The Magnificent Seven (original) ... again ... one of those films that I can never resist .... Watched Saving Mister Banks yesterday as the missus had it on - never realised what it was about before - basically the making of Mary Poppins with the author not being too sure about handing it over to Disney for filming - smashing performances by Emma Thompson as the author and Tom Hanks as Walt Disney...
I've watched Saving Mr Banks a few times. Very good film, both are brilliant as are the two guys playing the ones who wrote all the songs.
Avatar 2 - 6.1 Great CGI, predictable story, long as ****. Edit: was probably a bit harsh on the rating, 6.6 is fairer.
Rebel Moon on Netflix - 6.5/10 - felt like a rather confused and rambling mash-up of Dune/Star Wars and The Chronicles of Riddick - recall others have said something similar ...
