I thought I had your lot down for a draw, but checked and I'd gone for a 2-1 win. A win would put you in the driving seat, a draw would still be advantage Liverpool if they achieve it without any injuries. I'll defo be a neutral tomorrow - if Toon lose again tomorrow, it might be time to swap managers before the January spend.
If it's a draw that allows City to catch up and be level on points. Once that happens I think it's the usual post January season for City where the fckers just go through the gears and race away. Not sure if Livpl will be as consistent. Anyway a plague on both their houses. Hope Villa win it.
Don’t like Villa. Lived in a Villa area at uni and they’re ****s. No one will be arsed if City win another to chuck on the pile. Though Emery winning it by a point from Arsenal would be mildly amusing. Good ebening anyway.
I do keep thinking that villa are going to sneak in there and take the title. I also keep thinking City won't win it this year, but now Alvarez, Rodri and Foden are running the show, makes me think I'd be happy with that if I was Pep, knowing that De Bruyne and Haaland were out. I think Foden will throw a massive strop if he loses his place now, can't say I'd blame him either.
De Bruyne was on the bench today. When I heard Rodri was injured I thought that's them fcked. But he recovers and is back a week later. As you say Haaland being out hasn't caused much of a problem. Stones being injured is a bit of a worry but even if their defence is dodgy they'll just score more with all the other players back.
Personally convinced that the Club World Cup break was just what City needed to reset and get players back and tey are now odds on for the title .
I might have got this the wrong way round but I think if you stay ahead of them then I can see you going all the way. You'll battle for the win more each game if they're on your arse.
City winning 4 in a row or Livpl reaching 20 with us. Fcking state of the league. **** motherfckers...and that includes Arsenal. And us too.
Quick one Trebs Would you guys rather miss out on Europe totally this season if you could qualify for CL to concentrate on sorting the squad or would you rather have some Euro involvement ?
we have a completely new midfield 2 pf which are already knackered by PL one injured and the other off to the Asian cup . Our main goalscorer at the afcon no left backs and one of our CBs out for the season plus a couple of midfielders who due to injury haven't played a minute this season and probably won't all season. A battle it will definitely be .
I don't think we need to miss out on europe to sort out the squad. If you're asking would I prefer to miss out on europe so we have a better chance in the league next season? I'd still say no. I want to watch us play as many games as possible. And european games are always something to look forward to, even if it's some team in Azerbhajan. Why do you ask?
Was just curious I have mates at work who want to miss out totally I am more aligned with your opinion
McCallister will be back soon though. You have VD and Konate as CB which is your strongest pairing surely? Robertson will be back in January. You have a few youngsters come through that seem to be doing enough. It's your front men really that just need to keep scoring.
