Almost always true. Oddly though, I don’t think’ I’ve ever gone to a horserace meeting and come away having lost money. Maybe because I don’t go frequently enough and therefore don’t throw my winnings away as soon as I’ve got them, which is what I tend to do with online betting. Who knows ?
