Aye he could but he ain't getting one. Jobe's been looking a bit leggy for a while and fading out of games so I'd give him a little rest seeing as we can afford to.

Give Aouchiche and Pritch the license to roam and pick the ball up in dangerous areas while Clarke and Pembele hold the width.

    Thanks for another cracker RTB.

My only ask - play Rigg and drop Ekwah. Lets be a bit more aggressive in the middle of the park. Doubt Beale knows enough about Rigg yet, but hoping he thinks Ekwah needs to be sat out.

Fridays performance was very worrying Need a reaction and think we’ll get one. Don’t think it will please everyone but signs of improvement and a 1-0 will do for me

I just hope for something different. A change in tactics, a change in formation, different players, players not being asked to play in an unfamiliar position…just something.

I’m pretty sure it will be exactly the same as the last game however.

FFS just play 2 strikers. Rusyn and one of Hemir or Mayenda. We should beat these at home (no disrespect intended) if we are serious about the play offs. so lets go high tempo attack minded.
I like the look of the team without O9 but cannot see him being dropped and he is a damn fine player. Maybe move him up to midield at the expense of Ekwah who has either looked jaded or disinterested recently.
Anyway although I would like a cricket score and to win 5-0 3 points is all that matters.

Once again RTB just carry on doing what you do best. Another fab write up.

One of which we weren’t poor in at all (I think you disagree with that mind). Even the Coventry game we were ok, we collapsed in the end but the overall performance was no where near as bad as made out.

Rotherham was bad though in horrible conditions.

    How about a fluid 4/4/2
    patto
    Pembele/seelt/ Ballard/ Hume
    Dan/O/9/Ekwah/Jobe
    Mayenda/Rusyn

Rest Clarke for a second half blitz along with Pritch plus Adil or Ba or Rigg or whoever else is on the bench as we alternatives galore and should always use all 5 of them imo no matter what the score is.

Taken from Twitter but the lad is 100% spot on in my humble opinion.
Kyril Dreyfus took over as Sunderland owner 18/02/21 Week before we lost 2-1 at Shrewsbury.
    Team.
Matthews,Power, Vokins, Leadbitter, Willis, Wright, Jones, Scowen, Wyke, O'Brien, Mcgeady.
But some want rid of him

Great as always RTB well Friday was a tadge disappointing but onward and upward I say going for a 2-1 to the lads hopefully a CF on the pitch,Jobe defo needs a rest, would love to see a side with every player in there proper position even tho it would be unpopular to then bench those that don’t fit COME ON

Really am expecting a boring 0-0 tomorrow. Preston will come for a point, like last season and unless we freshen up the squad, I think it’s a game to far for some of our squad. We really do need to confuse them by playing a striker.

Another cracking match thread RTB. Thanks for your efforts over the last 12 months. Look forward to many more next year. Difficult game but one we should win. Agree with the change of tempo to slow from back to front giving teams time to settle into formation. Clarke could do with a rest but not just yet we need to start the year off by winning. Hopefully Roberts is back for next weekend. Time to give Rusyn a run in the team. Keep the faith lads and lasses.

Ekwah has looked poor since his return from injury imo. Some matches he has looked OK but still no where near the standard he was showing previous and other times poor. Seems slower on the ball.

I reckon Jobe could do with a rest too.
