Give Ryan 60 - 70 mins then bring Ji on as General says( but knowing Bruce he will get 5 minutes!) if he is any where near Gary rowell he will do for me, but play Sess in midfield on the right , and lets go for it against wigan, they have only scored 2 goals away i would settle for last seasons score of 4-2. 3-5-2 is my formation Rico, Vaughn, Gardner, Sess, Larsson in the midfield start with either Ji or Ryan and Bendnter, O shea, Brown, Turner in defence.
I think this is the most important thing I took from Saturday. Several times Sess beat the full back only to do a shovelled cross with the outside of his right. He played even better than it looked for me and were he able to deliver once beating his man we may well have scored. I know Larsson will be back and I screamed at Bruce for playing him on the left earlier in the season but I think I would be tempted to do this as Larsson capable of swinging in the ball from that side with his right or cutting in and shooting and it is obvious we are not getting the best from Sess on the left. THAT DOES NOT MEAN I THINK HE SHOULD PLAY UP FRONT THOUGH STEVE!
Reserves are playing in Liverpool today, dunno if Noble is involved, but if he did play and score I think Bruce would have no choice but to start him.
Noble is expected to start this afternoon and will be up against Sebastian Coates, Liverpools 6ft 6 Uruguayan defender. Should be a good test for him.
I said home grown and to be fair to the lad and Bruce if has had 2 injuries that have stopped him progressing quicker. I reckon he would be a 1st team regular by now had his back injury (stress fracture) not set him back 6 to 8 months last year. If is a natural goal scorer though and is very quick footed, shoots both feet and is a proper cocky little sod.
