Let's be honest, since Ramsey got injured we have even worse than mediocre in midfield. A distinct lack of class and ability. Colwill appears to be raising his game but not enough to give the team the inspiration needed. If we can't get Ramsey back quickly then we could end up in a relegation fight. Even then there is always the risk he will get crocked again. VT and Bulut need to find a competent replacement ASAP this window. That could even be a priority over Moore.
I'd be ok with Colwill at 10. It's how the ball gets to him and the support he gets from the two holding midfield that's the issue.
Bulut said we’d have a go. Our stall was set out from the team selection with a sterile central midfield, and from the kick off. City just sat back and let Leicester play. Not until Colwill and Tanner came on (why didn’t he make those changes at half time?) did City start creating something. It’s difficult to pick our worst player tonight from Ralls (particularly poor), Bowler, Meite or Robinson (also particularly poor). Leicester won at a canter and showed a huge gulf between us and themselves but we just rolled out the red carpet for them.
Grant and Ettete as striker pair turned a game in 15 minutes, Grant is not winger he is a Striker. Meitie is not a striker or a winger. Central mid 3 that stopped them attacking. Masterclass again from Bulut. Sit back and let them have the ball and tire them out. Leave Colwill and Tanner on the bench then shove Tanner on the wrong side so he can move Meitie as the lone striker or as I call him the lone ranger as no one can find him.We were 6th and then joint 6th. 3 wins in 10 and 14th place still forums think he is doing a good job. 4/5 players needed to cover the back four who did all the work. If they had sat back around the penalty area and let us have the ball we would look world class.
Bulut started with two short planks then lost one at Ipswich, somehow somewhere he has lost the other short plank now he hasn`t got a plank to stand on.
