I agree but I'd like to see him giving directions from the touchline during the match. A lot of us knew that we were starting too slowly - he should be changing it during the match not reflecting on it when it's too late.
Bringing in a new manager is supposed to give the squad a boost, so far our performances have declined in my opinion. Unless we had a really good appointment in place Mowbray should never have been sacked and the rumours he was because he spoke out are worrying
That's an old wives tale - the supposed "new manager bounce" is largely bollocks This is a long term appointment (unless the fans try and spoil it with short-termism) so it's going to take time[/QUOTE]
So based from that we now have 2 kids that played B team football abroad and an U23 Chelsea kid. Hows this building on last season?
As we've another game in just over two days I think he'll start tbh, I think Jewi might as well. Roberts looks like he's out and Jewi is just the man for a NYD home start imo.
The team selection is a bit odd. He's played 3 different "strikers" in 3 games and has made no changes to the obvious areas (O'Nien at CB, Seelt at RB) so hopefully he gets some time on the training pitch in January to start working with the players on shape/tactics etc I find it amazing that people expect immediate changes
For a change of ideas maybes. Whats Beale doing? I also think thats harsh. Hed have got us promoted without injuries and we were 6th when he was sacked
Immediate changes only come when things are going badly, like when we used to change manager every season in the PL. Big Sam coming in to a team in the relegation zone is different to Beale coming in to a team in playoff contention.
****e is a bit harsh but Im in Rotherham and I’ve had a few and I don’t give a **** about upsetting Mr Mobray or anyone else tbh.
I've never been one to have a go at the club but at the moment I'm a little worried. I really hope Beale has come in at a time when we are playing ever 3 days and hasn't had the chance to implement what he needs to. The reason I'm worried is looking back at last season, how many of us were saying it's the best football we've seen sunderland play, they are young lads, they'll make mistakes but it's so exciting to watch. This season , especially the last few months I think although we are having so much possession we are starting to look very boring, it doesn't matter who we are playing, it always looks like we are going to struggle to score. I think teams have really learned how to defend against us they will let us have the ball as much as we want. Something has to change and I hope Beale has it in his locker to implement these changes
Last season we had Amad and (briefly) Stewart. No player in the squad is even close to those two. Beale needs time to implement his style. Mad schedule across Xmas isn't the time to judge
