I respect your opinion always Jammy but having watched the last five games closely this lot create nothing except on the very odd day it all goes right as in the Ipswich game. We’re miles away from pl standard that you and so many more crave. This has little to do with Farke, he inherited most of this rubbish and anything he’s brought in has been ok. Given a couple of years he may do a great rebuild but he’ll probably be sacked before season end as that’s the modern game
If we don’t have a midfield we we will always end up under the cosh. Corberan told his team to get into our forwards faces, don’t let them settle and when the lose the ball bypass what’s left and go wide right. Seems everyone can do it and FARKE has no answers except put every forward on the pitch and take defenders off. It’s tactically stupid. Summerville is not good when he has no room and is easily shoved off the ball. He turns nto a greedy git too when he doesn’t play well. Rutter doesn’t get much of anything from Summerville and ends up going hunting for the ball and creating mayhem. He did ok again tonight Gnonto and Piroe were woeful and yes Gnonto should have had a penalty but he missed a couple of scoring chances. Gruev besides the free kick was good in defence and very creative Amps and Rodon were decent again and Cooper did well too but why the hell we cant play more midfielders, just add Archie or Gruev to Amps and Kamara and drop Piroe when it doesn’t work at away games?
Supprt the team and support Farke as that's our role as supporters. If we make the play offs then anything could happen and who knows it might actually be something good for a change
Agree Doc. There's no link centrally between defence and attack and with WBA squeezed up the pitch all we can do is go wide. Then we run out of ideas and go back and square. Now personally I've no problem with going wide but then our wide players simply must take more risks and get at their full backs way more as at the moment most teams are cancelling us out with a swarm defence in the wide areas.
Supporting the. Pubs not the prob mate as you well know. Just calling it as I see it and have done here for a decade or more. I’ll be still looking to scab a pint off you in three weeks. Btw this team are way too small for the championship. You can get away with midgets in the pl where they’ll spend all their time falling over
Personally all I'm looking for is to qualify for the play offs, so anything between 3rd and 6th and it will have been a good season as far as I'm concerned. Always happy to buy you a beer by the way
so do most sides to be fair. trick is to score first and we haven’t been taking our half chances before the opposition do. once they’re in full on bus parking mode we don’t have a plan b. If sides are going to fill the penalty area with bodies and give us the ball we might as well sign Matt Smith in January and pump balls into the box waiting for a ricochet. we don’t have a physical presence up front… I’d stick Creswell on the bench and play him as a striker if needed.
Commentator pointed out an amazing fact tonight from last season. I wasn’t aware of it as wasn’t interested in championship then but none of eventual play off teams were in top six at this point last season. In fact Lutin were 13th at this point
Ever free we win it’s chippped into the box as we’ve no one that can strike the ball. We make a mess of nearly ever corner as we can’t get it past the first defender. It’s not rocket science. Next recruits check can they kick a ball before signing This has been going on far too long. What’s Ian Harte doing these days
Don't think we can expect as much change to the top 6 this season as last. Coventry 13th last season on 35 pts vs Norwich 13th this season on 34 pts pts gap to position last v current 3rd 7 v 17 4th 4 v 11 5th 4 v 8 6th 3 v 5 Just to point out last season, positions 3rd and 6th had both played an extra game than 13th placed Coventry as well. Our goal difference already better than Coventry and Sunderland managed over a full season. We're only 1 behind what 3rd placed Luton finished with too.
