Funny how he went and did exactly what many of us were saying. I suppose that validated our stupid popular opinions, either that or Rosey doesn’t know what he’s on about either.

I like the diamond formation and with the currently available players I can’t think of a better way to set the team up.

Brave of him to drop our best player Twine who has been man of the match every week too.

I thought Blackburn were really good, which makes the result much more impressive. Needed the tweak made at HT after Connolly went down in the first half as they had way too much joy in the wide areas. Desperate for some natural wingers in the side as Traore who i thought was excellent first 30 minutes centrally is absolutely wasted out wide.

We also need to get him into midfield I think with Seri going to AFCON.

It’s time for one of Macca, Christie or Smith to step up. Personally, I think I’d give the latter his break and see if he sinks or swims. The other two have not been at it at all this season after several chances to show their worth so I think it’s worth the gamble.

Oh he was playing in the clever Pep hybrid position between defence and midfield that no other manager would ever have thought of trying and it was so excellent he….

    Oh wait yes.

He's definitely learning/swallowing his pride/more open to change/all of the above. Which will only benefit us, twine needed dropping and he did sweet fa when he came on. Hopefully we aren't planning on paying £2.5m for him in Jan. We should and could do better

Ok just checking that we played a CM at LB and still won. As you say, shows how flexible and adaptive Rosenior is, completely agree.

Interesting as you say that Twine was out of the side despite some claiming there's unspoken reasons he's required to start every game.

Yeah , it's almost like he's a young manager learning his trade or something

I honestly think he’s capable of a lot more than he’s shown us and £2.5m would probably turn out to be good and fair business in the long run but he also definitely needs dropping because he has been consistently pretty crap all season.

Naah, just as rigid as McCann.

Can't understand why he doesn't get more grief for it.

I’ll keep it short as not seen much of City lately. Good result tonight but not a game for the faint hearted. Any victory is a good one in my book so kudos to the team tonight. Thought Delap was excellent and just wish him and Morton were both ours. Defensively we look ordinary and susceptible to players who attack our wingbacks and we definitely need to sort the goalkeeping situation out. Just a fleeting visit as more important stuff to get past yet personally but it’ll be interesting to see what things are addressed if possible in January .

It all depends when Seri has to go. I think we may have him for the Wednesday game but I suspect LR may use the cup game to try somethings out in terms of fringe players.

I thought Bristol were really good, Sunderland decent but I actually thought Blackburn were piss poor. We just seemed to lose the ball so many times under no pressure in bad positions and were weak in recovery.

Ingram clarified why some people prefer Allsop. Before he got injured Allsop was making some great quick kicks to pick out, say, Allsop and catch the opposition cold. I don't think Ingram found his man once tonight did he?

Tbh I was screaming at Connolly.
Traore was looking for an outlet and Connolly should have gone down the line to take the ball. He could have gone to the corner or simply played it back across to our players. Traore moved for that pass, but Connolly didn’t
