We havent really overused burstow recently but i agree we need rid of him In terms of leaving better players on the bench, i would agree we need to use the squad better than we do. TM was shocking for picking the same players week in week out I truly believe we have a good squad, apart from CDM n CF i feel we have more depth across the team. Janiary is huge for us, i would say we need 3 signings - a CF a CDM and potentially another winger (not convinced by jewi or mayenda as wingers just yet n Ba is so inconsistent). We will sign young players, and likely young foreign lads. Im not against it but im sure youll agree with me they need to be 1st team ready (n have the upside we want). Hope we sign Aravena as the wide option n the japenese striker - unsure on CDM Anyway good debating, im sick of it now lol so away to bed Have a good new yr folks n no doubt catch up on the Preston match day thread
He could still do simple things like change formation and play strikers mate. What have we even gained so far sacking Mowbray?
It's all just post-match interview nonsense though. He can hardly condemn the players after a second tough unbeaten away game. We have another game coming up and is trying to bond with the players ... ... he can hardly say, 'Right, back on the bus I'll just tell everyone how poor you were.'
I didn't want Mowbray gone, I think he had us punching way above our weight. With only a couple of days between games, we are relying on pre set formations and plans. I'm hoping once Beale has some time on the training pitch we will see improvements. As I said earlier it's.a big 6 months for the club
We were screwed over from Neil so Mowbray was brought in to steady the ship. Weve now sacked him to supposedly improve and move to another level but so far tactics havent changed, formation hasnt changed and we look a worse team with zero ideas how to score unless Clarke does abit of magic.
I'm enjoying it. Tonight was ****e but Boxing Day was great. Hopefully NYD will be great again. It's the ups and downs isn't it?
3 games in and about 2 days on the training pitch. You're expecting miracles if you think the new Head Coach can change things with 3 games in 6 days
To be expected with a young team, inconsistent with massive highs and massive lows. The championship is a great league imo
I'm honestly in no rush to leave, You see how good Burnley were last season and how ****e they are in the PL. Can you imagine this team in the PL? Would be torture
No im not at all mate. Im expecting strikers to play and a formation that suits players to their best strengths. Roberts went off and suprise suprise Ba came on. We have a new manager but tactically nothing has changed on a matchday. The rest of the work i understand
@SAFC_Analysis Sunderland have scored 14 goals away from home all season. Jack Clarke has scored 10 of them. Dan Ballard was the last other Sunderland player to score away from home. This occurred in September. #SAFC
The million dollar question that. Of course I want us in the premier league, but I don't look forward to the privilege of being dry humped every other week by teams with more money than most countries. Can we just stay at the top of the championship and refuse promotion?
Rusyn is a left forward mate, looks a bloody good one, but I don't think we see the best of him as a lone central striker. And that's from someone who thinks he could be a great player for us, just can't fit him.in the team
The 2 previous Head Coaches wouldn't play Rusyn. Why should we expect differently from Beale when he's 5 mins through the door? I get the need to judge and question but the bloke needs time. Today was our 8th game in 34 days with 3 different men in charge. Surely now is not the time to expect consistency or a massive change in tactics
Rusyns confidence must be demoralised now. He needs an Alex Ferguson father figure to put an arm round him and give him the confidence he needs
