Watching this West Ham performance against Arsenal is a good example of how we should be able to set up away from home when the time calls. We maybe don't have the players to have 2 deep lying midfielders but West Ham have done a job on them here. Maybe if we could get a pure CDM in the window it would give us that flexibility.
Eddie was squeezing every ounce out of them but as you say they are so knackered they can’t do the basics right now.
The standard has increased and Newcastle were lucky last season with injuries and over estimated their squad. To have people thinking we're top 6 when we've still got a large number of bottom feeders in the side says it all. 5 to 10 years was no joke and last season changed nothing there.
It's not though, nothing delusional about the majority of us thinking we'd beat Luton and Forest and after tonight's results it would have us only 4 points behind Arsenal, your constant griping doesn't help and adds to the disappointment of the last couple of weeks, hth.
I never said anything about results or anything about delusional Nothing I say impacts the side mate.... it'll get better in the years ahead
Eh???? We lost both and are mired in mid table with games ahead we will likely lose? I struggle to get your point?
It’s very simple. We’re stuck til money is there and Eddie moves on. I shudder at the thought of Howe given money as it will set us back further, we’ve now got the likes of Barnes, Longstaff and more on longer contracts with no value. The more he’s given, the harder it gets to creste a winning team.
**** sakes man I'm as negative as anyone but how the **** does Barnes have no Value? The injury is unfortunate but he's had no chance to perform or put a foot wrong. I actually agree with some of the points you've been making but don't chat **** just to try support your argument.
He was a £40m substitute left winger we didn’t need. He’ll never command a £40m fee ever again. One of the stupidest purchases I’ve ever seen.
Gordon isn't exactly lighting the sky the last few months either. Looks like Phillips nailed on now. I don't think that will make any difference to the gk cb lb rw cf issues. He's yet another plodder who's been seen as not good enough by man city. I mean not good enough to get a few minutes. 8 million loan? Brighton would buy a better player for half that. I mean he's better than longstaff, but the club seems to be completely unaware that other clubs have mobile players and Newcastles entire squad is made of lead with the exception of about 4 players.
