it'll be busy form the last 16 of europa onwards. the cl spread the last 16 over a month while europa plays 4 legs in the same time so our last 16 will be compressed. the league Cup is also a drain now and thst fa cup draw was nasty. we will need everyone fit for this as a lot of games are incoming. salah could do the decent thing and bin off the bacon or at least have the good grace to admit he can't play 120mins
Not sure why Mavropanos was holding his arms up after he scored .he only played 7 games in 4 years for Arsenal then they sold him to Stuttgart. I’d be celebrating like nobody’s business
I actually think it’s cause they have lost Haaland - he is unstoppable with De Bruyne imho With the others you can stop the service - or have a chance With everything going through Haaland and no KDB there is a chance Not much but a chance When Neither play - think City are a little bit more dangerous
Those 6 draws are annoying. Luton and United should have been wins. That’s 4 more points and table looking much better but that’s how it is. Have to hope doesn’t come back to haunt us like it did under Rafa in that season we finished behind United despite only losing a couple of games.
Got to love our recent tactics... Added pressure to those to at Christmas so let's drop to second for a couple of weeks and then take first place back before New Year
There was a time we always struggle in January but that been the case the last few years despite us being heading affected by ACON Think we only lose two this time (Salah & Endo) but they're a very important two
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta once again mentioned his team’s draw against Liverpool after losing to West Ham United last night. The Gunners title credentials took a blow on Thursday as they were beaten 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta makes another claim about the Liverpool game straight after Arsenal lose last night (rousingthekop.com)
4 goals in 5 games suggests their recent results are exactly what they deserve, you can be unlucky but this is a pattern
dony forget Brighton. we had the lead there Luton was a poor performance. really poor. utd was a poor poor performance. abject under no pressure. Brighton we fought for it but then sat back after taking the lead and conceded. spurs as the sole loss was an abject horrid ref who then favoured spurs again in the season that was 30 seconds from a draw. city was a fight where we were not the better side in anyway but get the goal. chelsea was a good 25 then fell apart on opening day and had to dig in until James went off injured as per. arsenal were the better side in the opening part. they start really quick then go off the boil. we didn't threaten much but again got cheated by the same ref now on var as per spurs. 1-1 was a good result as we were not clearly a better side or anything. all in all we are seeing a lot of mixed performances but where we stay on the front foot we present danger to teams. if you wrote a list of draws at the start of the season and said Chelsea and City away and utd and arsenal at home you'd take it imo. (maybe not utd but thsts rivalry speaking) the best way of putting it is we are not out of anything at the half way point. we are in 4 comps for the second half of the season so have lots of football to look forward to.
what I see is a side that floods the opponent early and goes hard. I see a lot of ability to pass and control but a whole lot of misses from the strikers. you then look at the goals conceded and you have to say that they've not balanced the side too well. it is biased to attack with zinchenko at lb and only 1 real cm in rice. the rest all flood on. saliva is good. Gabriel is not. white is not a good rb. raya is not doing too well.
Lol Remember when Brazil had practically announced Ancelotti as their next national manager. Carlo Ancelotti: Real Madrid manager signs new deal until 2026 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67840986
A draw away at Brighton isn’t the worse result and let’s be honest we didn’t deserve to win it. Where as Luton we should be beating even through we didn’t deserve it and United the same in current situation. I’d say the 4 other draws were prob as expectwd
Saka is massively out of form. Only goal involvements have been the odd cross really into an area. Martinelli is hopelessly out of form. Looks far from dangerous and Jesus showing why city were more than happy to let him move. He’ll get 10 goals a season just through weight of chances but he’ll never be a top class number 9. Can make comparisons to firmino but firmino was supplying chances to Salah and mane who were hitting 40+ goals between them in the league. Saka and martinelli I think hit 30 last year as their best and are on about 7/8 this year combined?
