I’ve never rated Mendez-Laing and I don’t rate him that highly now, he’s playing at the right level. Seems to have had a decent season and has experience of promotion with Cardiff (where he actually did okay in the Premier League), but whenever I’ve watched him he’s flattered to deceive and seems to rely more on better players around him making him look better. Probably a lazy link due to Rosie’s Derby connections, the Charlton lad seems much more likely.
