Timothee Atouba was so slow you always thought he was injured, or hungover, or both Yet somehow he always gets a pass because of that screamer against Newcastle
We’re still 5th though which is decent considering all the issues. Stay there till we get some players back and we’ve come through it well. Teams below us are all inconsistent.
I do my best to forget him too but watching Emerson just brings back the nightmares and some. We also have Sessegnon too, we’re like a long running social club for the worst FBs in football
One too slow and on his way out and two novices. It's your opinion against Ange. I know where my money goes.
They've also had to play in Europe. Just highlights our squad imbalance. They've been struggling recently and should've absolutely battered us. The rally at the end showed how vulnerable they are at the back.
A novice scored a goal tonight that a front line full of senior internationals failed to do. Young players can play football, Spurf. As surprising as that may sound, likely a lot better than Emerson Royal too.
I do think that the future is bright though, it will just take 3 or 4 windows I reckon to resolve. I am known to be a very optimistic person...
Manager is largely at fault for defeat tonight. He got a hell of a lot wrong, both with selection and the timing of his subs.
I think that Emerson's taking an unnecessary amount of stick, to be honest. He was asked to play out of position alongside another player out of position. Playing centre-half in this system is tough for actual centre-halves. He's not the best player in the world, but he's fine as our 2nd choice right-back. Playing everywhere along the backline in a team missing a ton of players? Not so much. This one is on the manager for selecting him and the club for not buying suitable backup.
Poor games all round tonight for Son ,Sarr, Porro, Hojbjerg especially, we can carry 1 having a poor game but not a chance when over a third of the team have an off night Bright cameo from Veliz let's hope we see more to come
