1996, 13 years old, ever lasting summers, not a pay as you go mobile in sight and not a f**king care in the world. I must say, every generation will say the same, but being a teen in the 90s was class.
Loved it John, Britpop wars, blur, oasis, Euro 96 with the dentist chair. Wearing Clarks Wallabees and heading off to Magaluf on an 18-30s break to recharge the batteries. Happy days.
I've recently acquired a 90's stack system and got it working and fitted a new stylus. (Mrs chucked my old one £800 back then ffs ) Big speakers and some fun over Xmas I've been playing some of my old vinyl after dusting them down and cleaning them. Some of the inside album sleeves are interesting, not just for the picture sleeves but messages from ex girlfriends be it a present or to remind me, we must of shared a moment together during playing it I realise now I hit a point in my life where I'd rather be cosy'd up listening to records, (shagging) than out fighting. Nowadays I'd rather be fighting but I'm too old A message on the inside of a police album , nooo did I go that fast then ?
