I get your point, but the reality is with the options he has available, no other manager would be able to get us any more points than we currently have right now. The options are so limited and the back up so poor what else can he do?
@PowerSpurs this is why we need a CB in on January 1st and not the 25th. We actually needed (another) one in the summer but this club doesn’t like doing the sensible.

Not play two players out of position or play players that don’t fit his system. Especially as both of those out of position are either terrible or average in general.
All on the manager. At the minimum the Wolves game should tell him that MF will not suffice against a team rarely beaten at home this season.
Brighton are playing well and enjoyable on the eye, but we have gifted them. At times like this I wish my cataract operation had been delayed a couple of weeks. Watching through a fog would have been an improvement

Awful performance in a crap, flat atmosphere. Two piss poor goals to concede but we should really be about 4-0 down. I think Dier and Lo Celso need to come on. Royal and literally anyone from the front 6 to make way for them.
Phillips and Dorrington. I’d rather give youngsters a chance than persist with dross. Dier is also better than Emerson. He’s bad but he’s nowhere near as tragic as Emerson at CB.
It’s a nice idea but that could end equally as badly chucking two completely inexperienced players in to make their premier league debuts away at Brighton. I know you will reply that they can’t be any worse!
I know it's not a particularly constructive thing to say, but Kane buries that Richarlison chance at the end of the half and changes the entire complexion of the game. He did it time after time for us and it is the yawning gulf between an average striker and an elite one. The former doesn't bail you out when things aren't going your way.
The only positive is that's its only 2 so far! Score the next goal and who knows there confidence is quite fragile, but equally if they score next can see it being 5
