There’s this one diagonal angle that I back Edozie to beat his man on every time, just on his defenders right foot. So effective there at getting to the by-line. He really could become a top level winger.
There’s always a chance things fall into place as has done before. Perhaps the set up albeit with mistakes made is better placed to maintain this. We’ll see I guess.
To be honest Ryan Fraser is amazing for me in that he comes on, immediately makes an impact somewhere and just gets on with the simple stuff, it's like he's been on the pitch for ages but with real purpose. Just imagine the mindset of the player, already blown apart by Sam for 60 mins, thinking 'it can't get any worse!', and then, boom! Fraser arrives with a never ending supply of purpose with energy! Great loan.
He's in great form for us. He'll have a year left on his Newcastle contract at the end of the season, was training with the U21s and Eddie Howe has said he doesn't have a future with the club. https://news.stv.tv/sport/scotland-...e-at-newcastle-united-says-manager-eddie-howe Should we try and sign him in January or wait until the end of the season and review the stuation the? Current value according to Transfer Markt 3m https://www.transfermarkt.com/ryan-fraser/marktwertverlauf/spieler/146795 which seems a bit low to me.
I wonder if he has a problem with Eddie H? He seemed to do the same when at Bournemouth as a sub and EH was there then. Perhaps wait until further into the season is my thought.
Wasn’t in under Howe that he did the contract rebel situation and let his contract run out before going to Newcastle. I can see why Howe might not be on board with him as a player.
I may have impulse purchased tickets to Norwich away on NYD off the back of this result... now trying to figure out the travel
The really annoying thing about the iplayer coverage, is the tendency to play replays while the ball is in play. They do it constantly.
Fraser’s 2nd goal, from the start of the move. Just absolutely wonderful football by so many players. I ****ing love this team
Another example of Mara's ability to make runs on the marking defender's blind-side. He did it two or three times against Blackburn. Don't know if this has been trained into him recently or, we just never noticed it, but he's very good at it.
Just went on PlanetSwans. A lot of hatred for Matt Grimes. Basically a 'woeful captain who puts in no effort'. Jay Fulton also comes in for some stick. Nathan Wood proper slagged off too. 'Sh*t backpass merchant'. We were rumoured to be buying all of these three at various times in the summer. Seems like we dodged a whole firing range by not signing any more Swansea players.
To paraphrase: all happy teams are alike; all unhappy teams are unhappy in their own way. Grimes, Wood and Fulton didn't stop being capable, they're just in a team with major disfunction. I'd take any of them in a squad that actually understands what they're meant to be doing.
