He 6ft 7 for ffs. It’s not as if they were beating the crap out of him. Maybe the break might sharpen him up to win his place back
I don't give two ****s what size he is, Yes it was handbags Mes didn't beat the crap out of the **** who ran at him and pushed him he did the right thing in protecting himself. If the referee did his job honestly and correctly we wouldn't be having this conversation.
It’s not a man’s game anymore anyway. As you say handbags and might as well watch the women at it. It’s more honest
A booking for both should have been sufficient especially with all the play acting from their man. Crikey, it was handbags and it used to be a man's game so get on with it instead of resorting to cheating. I wish Meslier had just laughed in his face but he stood his ground under intimidation. Something he'll have to learn from. I'm more bothered that he will be missing for three games as I think I'd rather have Klaesson in than Darlow to be honest.
Had a problem with Leeds goalkeeper situation for a while now but thought it must have been sorted out by FARKE as he got rid of Marcus Abad and brought his guy in from Norwich. He obviously thought Meslier was going so went out to get Darlow who was on the verge of signing for Bournemouth. So if we do have a problem with Darlow then it’s another own goal.
Things have definitely moved on now Abad has gone as he was never any good for him and I can see how now they are working on his catching etc. The fact he stayed means we've had some stability too and despite everything I think he will do well for us. Goalies always matured later than any other player and last season he was up against a team in front of him who might as well have not been there so no wonder he lost all confidence. Klaesson did alright when he came in and I'd definitely use him. I can't say too much about how Darlow will perform but think there's a lot of work to do from what I have seen.
Meslier can pull off some instinctive worldies but he makes Mary Earps look like Lev Yashin at times.
Me too (regarding Klaesson over Darlow). How he failed to get close to even one of Salford City's 9 penalties took some doing. It was like he was playing dodge ball. I also think he should have at least got close to Preston's first goal.
No he's not. Makes the odd mistake the same as all our players but overall he's fairly decent for this division and think he might have saved Preston's winning goal yesterday.
Darlow will start tomorrow night as Farke has virtually said so and hopefully he plays well enough over the next 3 games to give our manager a headache when Meslier has served his ban.
