I’m not holding my breath for an apology and an invite back onto ITWV’s.

Genuine question. What could the fans have done to influence the sale/purchase of Charlton? Sandgaard wanted out and wanted a buyer. This group were the ones who met his (inflated) price. How would a group of fans persuade him to sell to someone else? Pretty much everyone wanted him gone! And I'm struggling to see what the entire fanbase could have done had they united, to make him sell to another buyer - and who else wanted to buy us?

    There's no reasoning with them.
Time was when that forum had its own path and integrity.
But gradually it lost its way until all it has left is animosity towards other Charlton fans, for animosity's sake.

The fans are the poor relations in all this fiasco. Nobody else wanted the club when TS bought it, or when SE7 bought it. Potential buyers for the whole lot have come and gone, unwilling to meet Roland's high asking price. Eventually SE7 will tire of pouring money down the drain, and we may well run out of buyers, and that will be the moment of truth. Roland's dream of developing the land could then materialise. It must be clear to him that no-one will pay his price, and anyway even when the Aussies were prepared to he simply upped the price, suggesting that he doesn't really want to sell. Before ESI bought the club for £1 he had a lot to lose if we went into admin, according to people who understand these things better than me. I'm not sure, but I think he's pretty risk free as things stand. The amount he'd lose in ground rent would be miniscule compared to the killing he'd make by developing the site. Or am I wrong there?

No idea. I have read from people who know more than me that developing the ground may not be as easy as it may seem, given geography and the surrounding narrow streets. However, where there's money to be made, the unscrupulous will find a way, so it's not a pretty outlook.
