Sign Diego Godin and Gary Cahill with Jaoa Mountinho, Modric and Cavani and then we could win the damn thing. But, I think realistically, max 3 of those would ever happen so 3rd or 4th with the Carling cup.
Cahill is a good shout as he should be fairly cheap given his contract position. No way he will sign a new one given the clubs looking at him / Engalnd prospects and I doubt Bolton will want to lose out on 5-10 million either by letting him run down his contract. I expect we will be front runners with Spurs who lets face it, will sign him just because he is cheap ala Peinaar. Arry loves a bargain. This would then give us 4 centre back and 2 right backs (if Ivan deemed to be a right back) to compete for 3 spaces. The rest I really can't see happening and we can't just rely on a January splash out to save our season. The squad is good enough to do well, just need to start performing (easier said than done!)
