    He may well suit West Ham with JWP putting in some delicious crosses for him.

    If only we had someone like JWP when Taul Paul was with us!!!!!!!

    Will he be going to AFCON?
    I thought that was moving to the summer to prevent all this mid season thing. Could have sworn the last one was supposed to be the last ever mid season one

    Quality business.

    The big championship clubs have several advantages over the others but access to the premier league loan market is one which isn't spoken about much. THB, Downes and now Diallo - all start for pretty much every club in the league.

    I couldn’t spot this in the transfer thread beyond just a discussion about it. One person suggested it but with a “might not happen” caveat (or something like that)

    The article suggests 6.5m plus would be needed. Transfermarkt values him at €2m so is suggesting close to quadruple. That isn’t usually common even when the club doesn’t want really want to sell (but the player wants to go) and there is lots of time left on the contract

    Not sure we’ll pay 7m given that is close to the Stewart fee and he had played and scored in England. I don’t think we got a discount due to his injury

    I assume this would be for if Adams goes which seems likely given his contract situation

    How many loans are we allowed both in total and at any one time? I expect we would need someone else to take Holgate’s squad spot but we’ll struggle to bring in a 4th choice central defender. Either on loan or permanent. It’d need to be someone who can play elsewhere (perhaps as a primary position). Either LB or DM. Or perhaps we just look for another DM and Charles can be cover in bother CM and CB?

    Wouldn’t be happy trying to see out the season with the current defensive options minus Holgate. The bench was bare in that regard today
