Agree with everyone about Quansah but I also think Gomez has been playing pretty well of late. I still don't think he'll ever get back to the player he once was but the guy's done a job for us of late.

If his clinical finishing won us the title from the chances we create it would be worth every penny

That’s a really weird one for the offside. Even taking away whether Salah is actually interfering - I guess in keepers eye line but he’s already going wrong way.

If an opposition player pushes you offside are you still offside? I’m guessing yes and nothing in rules around that as may be a bit vague to decide what’s deliberate and what’s not… but again go back to the reason for offside.

offside is to stop someone gaining an advantage by being behind the last defender. If a defender puts you in that position and you’re not their own your own reasoning, you can’t be gaining an unfair advantage.

in the end its just my opinion but we need to have more confidence.

the first thought is to turn back not run at people especially when there's space to run to.

both nunez and Elliott passed it on rather than take a shot today when it's on.

taking the shorter pass on rather than missing the cb and getting it out wide etc.

just little things that slow things down or over complicate the game.

watching arsenal they just go straight forward and go direct at people.

spurs used to do that when they were good 4 or 5 years ago.

when we break from deep and go real quick we are at our best imo.

hopefully we can do for newcastle and make this an OK set of fixtures to move on from. another draw would make the block with 3 big home games in it a real party pooper.

8/12 with 3 top 7 games is not awful at all.

42 from 19 sets us up for a decent position for the run in. Next task is to get to 70 ASAP.

the problem is villa and spurs, if one can fall away then the top 4 can be put the bed and we can look at the last 10 games as anythings possible.

Technically a foul and a penalty but that would be equally ridiculous

the thing about today that people should think on is its not that long ago quansah was hauled off at ht in his last league start so to come in again just shows his attitude amd his managers faith.

young players won't always be top but the total lack of fear, combined with the ability he has and how he thinks about the game means he put it behind him amd went again

I've zero concerns with Quansah, I'm more confident with him at CB than Gomez.

Also, Gomez is really starting to grow into the FB role. And he'll get that elusive goal sober rather than later imo

playing regularly always helps these guys.

gomez has not made many horrid gaffes in the past games as he's got match fit and his "rhythm" as klopp would say.

quansah really benefited from his loan last season but i think he will continue to do so as he thinks about his game.amd seems dedicated to it.

I'm unsure what to make of our style of play at the moment.

Centre backs hitting it long, but its to gakpo or salah, neither have the pace to go past a player or run in behind. Yet we have Darwin, who is incredibly quick dropping deep.

Yes Darwin gets caught offside alot, but (and I know it's a radical suggestion) maybe try to actually play him in quicker, rather than taking three touches.

More and more mo is getting played through from a break away, he's the furthest man forward, but he's no longer quick enough to stay in front of the defender, again just possibly wouldn't it be better if nunez was that man?

I wonder if mo has just a little bit to much sway in how we play, if we are accommodating him, to the deterement of others.

Watching utd tonight, arsenal in past games, they play like we used to fast break, overload the defence. We look ponderous by comparison
