Ah right, I spend a lot of time just west of you in Killie… Our managers don’t pick the players. Director of football does all that, we just bring in head coaches to bring it all together. It does seem seamless now when we change manager, there’s no big turnover of staff or players, we just carry on with slight tweaks to the style of play. We need a forward desperately. We can’t keep playing 4 defenders and 6 midfielders every game.
You must be talking about RTG? Yeah I’m also on there from time to time. So are other Geordies. Just give it up mate you clearly don’t understand how it is up here. Btw, I’m a huge cricket fan. Played many a year in the Durham coast league.
My bird is Scottish. Geordies are closer to and more like the Scottish people than anyone in England. We have a lot of similarities.
Rubbish today. So predictable for an opposition manager but thought Beale set them up well today with basically 4 playing across the attacking midfield as they knew this would stop Morton/Seri getting on the ball and therefore make it very difficult for us to get any rhythm or foothold in the game. We need to mix it up when it isn't working which we totally failed to do today. Fair play to Sunderland, totally deserved the win. Special mention for Coyle who was doing everything he could to play though an obvious injury against one of the best wingers in the league as he knew that if he came off, Christie would come on and have no chance. Twine, Tufan and Connolly offered very little today. Liked the look of Ekwah in midfield for them, he bossed it.
Doesn't surprise me one bit tbh seems like a proper cricketing area up there. Hard working class recreational cricket, the best kind
Theres wallpapering over cracks and eventually you have to replaster the wall and get a pro in to do it,...
At least our next opponents are coming in off the back of a disappointing and unexpected 3-0 defeat...oh
Sunderland played a 4-1-4-1 with their striker being a false 9 who dropped into midfield to help out and Rosenior and the players had zero clue how to combat it. Never had a grip on the game. We were limited to scrappy half-chances. They dominated the midfield. Time and time again whenever we gained possession, there was no ****er to pass to. Seemed like Sunderland had more players than us at times.
Now waiting for some delusional nutter to come on and say “if we’d have scored one of our chances, it would have been a different game.”
If it’s not working playing right footers on the left and left footers o the right why not let them swap and see if it changes anything !! Ffs please get Jones to look up not just 10 yds to the side of him .
MOM. Beale Lazy performances Connolly - running into spaces and making no attempt to close anyone down or fight Tufan - similar got caught on the ball too often Morton looked leggy first half - looked am awesome no 10 second. Coyle excellent showed others what heart is Sorry Christie but even your attacking legs have gone
As for my analysis: Positives: Some heroic defending (Coyle, particularly) needs to be praised, despite the result. Delap and Morton were excellent at times and are a joy to watch. Negatives: Clueless in attack. Our play reminded me of Subbuteo. Sunderland showed us how to attack in numbers and worked for each other. Twine was ineffective, again. Time for him to be replaced. I’ve said it before, but Seri is not the player he was. It’s frustrating because when he’s positive, he’s a diamond. But more often than not, he slows us down. Time for him to be replaced. Delap was wasted out wide…AGAIN!
Rosie raves about our style, i think people have worked out how to stop us. Don’t press us and just watch us pass it left to right along the back. I bet our centre backs passed it to each other about 50 times. we have zero idea what to do
