Aouchiche did ok today. His early crosses are quality. Shooting not quite so good. Would be good close to a 9.
Hes been in 2 minutes mate, got to give him a chance - takes time to implement his ideas Just look at Bournemouth now, shocking start to the season unser their new manager and now look unreal
Seelt for me is now looking ready. I thought at first he looked slow and cumbersome and easy to run behind. He has quickly got up to speed though and is now ready for games no doubt. A good signing I think. Adil I am still not 100% on, but I think in time I will be. Just bits and pieces of awareness with teammates and the pace of the game. He is getting there though. He will get more and more game time as the season progresses, but might still be as a first sub option more often than mot for me.
Same amount of points as Mowbray in his first two games in charge. More points than Neil got in his three games.
I'd rather Aouchiche over Roberts. Roberts has had over 1000 minutes and done nothing so the only way players like Aouchiche and Ba are going to show their quality is if they are actually given fair opportunities.
bringing Triantis on to see it out was new to be fair. And @FellTop has given a good analysis of minor changes us normal fans won’t see
He did but I didn’t overlook him giving the ball away at least twice in extremely dangerous areas that could have cost us against better opposition in this league.
We were much more defensively sound today than we were in pretty much every Mowbray game. We weren't great going forward but we weren't under Mowbray either. And we moved the ball a lot quicker today than we have previously.
It's not utter bollocks, it's a fact. They're entitled to say what they want. Likewise, you can call them out....likewise, I can say...it's a bad look to do so. For all you know we'll lose the next 10 games and they'll be vindicated. What I'm saying is...you're no better than them, even if you feel like you are right now. Also, you 100% get to celebrate a win in spite of whatever, within legal boundaries, you've chanted in previous weeks. Of ****in course you can. Some of those chanting for mowbray last week will have paid to see hundreds of games...they can enjoy what they want...fully paid up members, whether you agree or not, don't need your endorsement.
Massive shout out for the defensive effort today to be fair. And if Beale has made them tighter then that’s something. Clean sheet away from home, against a playoff contender, with an enforced change at full back, is something to be proud off and build from
Why though? Seriously what does Roberts bring to the table that actually makes a difference in games? He can't shoot, he can't pass. He dances around players but does absolutely nothing of any substance.
So you think it's ok to celebrate in someone's failures but also celebrate in their successes? I hope any fan who was chanting for Mowbray last week never goes to a game again. Same goes for the pricks who were chanting for Batth earlier this season. Absolute arseholes who bring shame and embarrassment upon the rest of the fanbase.
Mate a) it’s his second game. And b) it’s understood that this is a transitional period where both him and the rest of the coaching squad are playing to methods and formations the team are used to. I support the team and new manager, whereas you seem to be knee jerking and just looking for negatives. As for the NuFC remark I think it’s VERY clear who is more inclined to the MAG way by their support here.
I sort of agree. How can you not? One assist and zero goals...but Ba brings even less to the table. I reckon Beale can get more out of Roberts. But first and foremost we need to play a striker and get him to link up with both Clarke and Roberts. Any striker in championship would love that service...if we get it right.
Fwiw I think we’ve reached a point where if O’Nien got injured or suspended for a few games, he’d struggle to get his place immediately back. Seelt is the real deal.
