I thought it was brilliant, let them score then lock them out, win in the last 15 minutes. I mean Meitie does a lot of other stuff surely it was a pleasure watching him? What do you mean a shambles, they scored a good goal but then our defence was brilliant...did you not see how good the back four were and Allnick. Honestly I was fed up with Grant on the touchline losing the ball, passing back and given a chance no passing but shot straight to the goalie. But what a player in the central strikers role. We are losing we got no chance and then the magic happened, How good was it to avoid relegation? How good was it to win the game that was lost? If losing games is ok as long as it entertains...how the hell can losing be entertaining? The game is only entertaining if we win. We suffered for 75 minutes but so do a lot of teams (Ipswich lost 4-0 but the Leeds fans thought it was entertaining because they won and scored more goals). We don`t win every game so at least try to be happy when we do. So many on here are so down beat, negativity does not help. Every club has good and bad times and there is no reason to cry. Yesterday I could not lose if Bulut lost that would be 2 wins in 9 so I was praying Tan would sack him, on the other hand if we won we move back up. Keep winning and I am happy with every player and the manager, keep losing and I am not happy. Blessed are they who expect nothing for they shall not be disappointed. .
I'm full of Christmas spirit (the 40 percent stuff), so couldn't give a $h!t what he posts. Actually, it probably makes more sense after a few sherbets.
There is one person here saying lets aim for promotion and the rest saying lets aim not to get relegated, I know which side I am on.
Two things about the game: 1. Why did Alnwick dive under the trajectory of their shot and not stand up for it? 2. How on earth did Grant score from that distance, through the players and on the floor....brilliance or ? Masky
Blessed are they who pray for a larger todge, blessed is BFB Blessed are they who pray for weight loss, blessed is BT Blessed are they who are tits, blessed is Irish Blessed are the magnificent, blessed is Masky Blessed is my absent friend, blessed is Clingy Masky at Christmas
Looking on the bright side - we got a point whilst Blackburn, Hull, Middlesbrough, Watford and Norwich all lost........well I had to say something!
Strange - after dropping 2 points at home yesterday, we're now a point nearer the playoffs than we were before the game.
It is a funny old league. It just shows, you don't have to be world beaters to be top 6, just to be consistent. It makes it hard to judge how much improvement has been made since last season. At least our attempts on goal were back up yesterday. Definitely need someone with an eye for goal. No need for a 20 a season striker. 12-14 would be fine.
It seems pretty clear Leicester & Soton will be top 2 with Ipswich & Leeds in the play off spots but the other two are up for grabs. WBA - 5th with 39 points down to Boro in 14th with 33 points. That’s 10 clubs who’ll fancy their chances
So if other results go our way on the day, we're playing Leicester on Friday for a top 6 spot?..................
Sorry, sparks, but we're playing the JB's for a place in the top 6 with a better gd than everyone above us !! hahahha
I will be delighted if you win that one Robbo. However, our victory against the Foxes on the same day will condemn you to 7th place at best.............
I you stand just outside the penalty area when those in it are losing their heads often it will fall to you, that is why I say Grant is not a winger he is a striker and that was a strikers goal. If Grant plays as striker I am fine with him even if Ugbo is on the bench to come on late.
I only fancy our chances I do not worry about other clubs. We were 8-1 to beat Leeds in the first game but we are only 4-1 to beat Leicester.
