Leeds away at wba on Friday, that could be them out of the picture again for a while. Southampton have Norwich away on Monday, this will be one of them times I will, thru gritted teeth, be cheering on the budgies!!
We all need to keep in mind when we looked at the fixtures in December, we expected a rough ride. Hopefully we can get a result tonight but we won’t have another run of games like this to contend with for the rest of the season so keeping a bit of daylight to third spot whatever the outcome against the foxes is a hell of an achievement.
James conned the ref twice in a few minutes, first time to get the pen and second time to get a free kick on the edge of the area and the defender booked, its really quite upsetting to see them lose. If ever we needed inspiration for tonights match the result at Preston is it, a golden opportunity to maintain the gap between us and Southampton and Leeds, i will be leaving for P R in a couple of hours for a tough match that should tell us where we are, if Leicester win i think they are gone, a point is ok, but a win and we are right up there.
Im sure Leicester will win it. Whether we can finish in second probably is more about what Leeds and Southampton do than us. I’m sure we’ll be around the 85-90 point mark, which would usually do it but may not be enough this year.
Interesting line-up. Taylor for Luongo, Harness for Broadie, and Woolfy on for Axel. KM will know what he is up to, lets hope! Taylor is fresher than Luongo who may need a rest, and Taylor has a good habit of scoring timely goals, which we sure need tonight! Fasten yer seat belts, and my Dutch mates have joined me across the border in Belgium.
While I am excited about tonight, on a calm, no rain or wind evening, I dont expect a win, and dont feel that the Leeds & Leicester games are season defining, but it would be a massive result if we do get a win or draw. They are a powerful, premier team, and so long as we give our best and a good account of ourselves, I will be happy. And no easy give away goal in the 1st ten. COYBs!
Broadhead has not been on his game lately. Something is obviously not right with Williams. Good changes IMO.
