Anyone know any good uns? Working down there next week and need something to stop the boredom kicking in. I know there's a couple of the lads on here who live down that way so any advice would be much appreciated <ok>

Good one a little further south of Hammersmith on the border of Fulham called The White Horse. Good beer menu.

I quite liked the Lonsdale, used to live on Lonsdale terrace, it was better than the stuff down Osborne Road anyway.

have they redeveloped as their was the old building next to it?

also anyone here ever go to the balloon in Benwell?

Na it never got pulled down, its still there and always has been tho the cinema is long gone. I think there are plans to build a Sainsburys local where the cinema used to be.

Used to know a couple that lived near the Balloon and popped in to see them on the odd occasion, but that was years ago.

I'm only working a few stops away from that area so if you want to meet for a beer or two next week after work PM me and we'll arrange where and when.
