Good Morning. It's Boxing Day. We lope you lad a lovely Christmas. Here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Seagulls set to swoop for Leeds talisman

Brighton and Hove Albion are planning an audacious bid for Leeds talisman Crysencio Summerville according to various press reports.

The 22yo has been in extraordinary form this season since assuming his new role an an inverted winger / third striker. He has already bagged 11 goals and six assists in twenty appearances, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Brighton have identified Summerville as someone capable of placing Kaoru Mitoma, who may depart the Ammex Stadium in January in a big money move abroad, if Brighton manage to prise Jimmy away from Elland Road.

The Dutch ace has two and a half years left on his contract. Leeds will be keen to extend his stay, but will probably wait until the Summer, assuming they get promoted.

Firpo could join teammate at Betis

Newspaper reports suggest Junior Firpo could join teammate Marc Roca at Real Betis if Leeds can find a suitable replacement.

The 27yo has never quite lived up to expectations since his £12.8m move from Barcelona almost two and a half years ago. Whilst his defensive displays can be called into question, there's also a big question mark over his fitness, having missed big chunks of the season with various knee and hamstring injuries.

All in all, if Firpo were a racehorse, there'd be a poignant smell of glue around the place. Leeds are believed to be reserving one of their two remaining loan slots for an accomplished left back, which could allow Firpo to leave the club next month.

Roca keen to seal permanent switch

Leeds midfielder Marc Roca has told his agent he does not want to return to Elland Road in the Summer, according to an article in 'Football Insider'.

The 27yo joined La Liga outfit Real Betis on loan during the Summer, and has made a good start to their season, starting 16 of 18 matches, in his new centre back role.

The former Bayern Munich forgotten man set Leeds back €12,000,000, and still has two and a half years left on his contract. Betis Manager Manuel Pellegrini is also keen to wrap up the deal, but do not want to pay Leeds £9m asking price.

Roca has been playing in a double pivot in front of the back 4 for Betis when I've seen him. He's been brilliant for them. The slower pace of the game suits him better than the PL.

Hope the new people at Leeds have decided that Roca can go to the highest bidder and sod Real Betis who are skint and want him on the cheap. Roca is doing great and in line for a call up to the Spanish squad. Don’t think there was an agreed buy out price?

There wasn't an agreed price as far as I know but selling him to the highest bidder will rely on us going up this year. If we fail to go up then his loan clause is reactivated for next season and Betis will just loan him again for next to nothing. There are rumours that Barcelona are interested in him.

Summerville will be going nowhere in January least of all to Brighton. He’s not their usual kind of target either, someone pretty well known where they could be outbid.

I rate Alan Browne who plays midfield for Preston. He gets through some serious work. Not sure Piroe will get much joy if Browne picks him up.

Looks like Sinisterra is fully fit now and he just scored a worldy. The joy on Andoni Iralos face when it went in….. the same Iraola who some said wouldn’t be able to save us last season. Bournemouth now averaging 1.4 points per game are up to 10th and 10 points clear of the drop zone. Already got 25 points on the board

Got 3 pts from the first 9 games, or 6 pts from first 11. If he'd done that with us we'd have sacked him and brought in big Sam <laugh>

Fair play to them for sticking with him. If we'd stayed up and got Iraola, wonder if we'd have been as patient after such a start???

65 minutes “Leif Davis ends Ipswich's wait for a shot on target which goes back more than two-and-a-half hours to their clash with Norwich with a shot which deflects into the midriff off Mads Hermansen.”

Imagine some of our fans if that was us

Sinisterra now showing why we shouldn't accept a penny less than £50M.

Obviously that won't be coming from Bournemouth but plenty of others will cough up the dough for a player that's under contract until 2028.

    In fact we might have £200M plus coming in next summer if we decide to cash in on;

    Summerville
    Rutter
    Gnonto
    Harrison
    Sinisterra
    Roca
    Wober
    Llorente
