If anyone would like a shining example of why we are doing so well compared to the teams in and around us, stick the Spurs Villa game on.

The comparison between us and villa is bewildering. Spurs have all the time in the world to knock the ball around, play how they want, Villa have quality but no urgency at all, even though they are 2-0 down! Wouldn't happen on AP's watch!

Yeah Pardew is just the pretty face to our management. In reality Perch and Smith are actually master tacticians who have propelled us into the top 4. That's why they're always on the bench

every game this season i've noticed one thing pardew not screaming from the touchline but constantly encouraging and unlike others pulis for example not screaming '****ing hell' when someone drops a bollock just calm encouragement.i noticed it with sammy on sat and sammy responded every time,now i'm sure you'll say most managers do it but i disagree they normally scream,swear,lament players and do the favourite just scream a players name over and over or say nothing for long periods of the game barking orders out now and then.
he did it all match first with sammy and simmo then jonas and raylor who imo had a better second half than his first maybe it was a coincidence he was on the dugout side second half who knows

 

So true. When we played Everton I can remember Simpson putting in an awful cross and Pardew winced a bit but clapped his hands and shouted "Come on!" and encouraged him to try again but better next time. Some Everton player did similar shortly afterwars and the camera went to Moyes who could clearly be seen saying "What the **** was that?!?" and looked massively pissed off.

 

why i used pulis as an example as the game went on all you could hear was ****ing hell,for ****s sake and the like while pardew was the opposite i thought on saturday he'd change as we were getting beat but he just encouraged them more good man management in my eyes

 

Pulis is the worst of the lot really.

 

true but he hasn't been the only one melty was having a cardiac as you said moyes was the same and as for bruce well how he didn't implode was beyond me it didn't really strike me as important till like i said we were losing as i thought he was like this as things were going well but saturday proved otherwise
