And we've moved on to "they're all as bad as each other" now. It's almost as if this country's never prospered under other governments because the last 13 years have been such a mess thanks to these imbeciles inflicting economic, health, infrastructure, and public service failure at every level on the nation. The bar by the shy tories on here has been set remarkably low
aaand yet again, the lefties duck the question and just post inane drivel. I wonder what they're afraid of.
It’s just bitterness and a bit silly Tory voters being wound up about Starmer. He has pretty much rid the Labour Party of the extreme left disease that Corbyn had brought in. The guy seems centre and if anything I’d say he’s probably just right of centre. That’s Conservative. There’s also no chance he’s going to be worse than what he’s followed. I omit Sunak from that, though. He was always on a hiding to nothing which is a shame because I actually think he’s been the best of a bad bunch.
I love the idea that Starmer has got rid of the Corbynites. They are all still there, just keeping quiet until he gets in. Day One they will be sending Lammy to tell the Israelis that they want a Palestinian State next week. The unions will all want a pay rise in the first hundred days and the Left want everything nationalised. The non-dom tax has been spent six times over but the rich are all leaving already, so the numbers won’t add up – as usual with Communism by another name. Sunak has a very short memory about the huge spending during the plague lockdowns and the huge “levelling up” spending gimmick. He is about as conservative as Neil Kinnock. You can find a reminder of that by looking at the National Debt graph since 2019. Populist Boris went mad, aided and abetted by Rishi the Gopher. Starmer is like Boris telling everyone they can have everything. We need shot of our whole political class. I won’t be voting for any of them (still). They are the problem not the cure. It could be worse – we could have dementia riddled Biden or deranged orange man Trump as the choice. There is still time for the Yanks to change their options.
So how did that work out for the hard left when Blair got in? The Corbster spent the entire thirteen years voting against the government.
"The huge levelling up spending gimmick". Oh, **** off! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65090722
If I recall correctly, Blair appointed Leftie lunatic John ‘Two Jags’ Prescott as deputy Prime Minister to keep the Left quiet. When one-eyed Gordon knifed Tony in the back, Middle England deserted New Labour in 2010. Corbyn has been a loser all of his lifetime to date. He went to decent schools but flunked the exams and then quit some former Polytechnic degree course because they would not teach what he wanted to be taught. His main lifetime achievement seems to have been riding Diane Abbott around East Germany.
