I'm sick of doing general things, got to do all the Christmas Day prep later then pub for a couple. Music quiz night later this evening.
By the time you’ve gone for dinner and a few drinks in London on NYE you might as well have a week in Tenerife. Few €1 San Miguels and fat birds from Wigan. Can’t beat it.
Tried some neck oil, why the fook is it served so cold, no idea how much it cost mind as I wasn't paying, dread to think.
That makes sense now why they didn't tell me. I should have brought the glass home for that price. £7.50 ffs. I had a decent ale in Spoons earlier in the day, one of their more expensive ones and that was still less than £3. Quite nice as well, I can never remember the names.
£6.25 around our way, still mental money. Know what you mean about how cold they serve it now, never used to be like that. A few weeks ago our local spoons had a celebration, anniversary of it opening, had a local beer at £1.05 per pint, the price it was the day they opened.
It was ok for the first pint of it that I can remember, but way too cold. By that I don't mean I was cold, far from it, I only had a t shirt on, but just prevents you from necking it quickly. Absolutely agree over hyped and expensive if it costs that much.
Don't think I've ever tried that, I'm never oversure on these hazy beers I'm always expecting some citric taste which I generally try and avoid. I think I had some sort of Celeberation Ale in Spoons that was alright, slightly darker than I was expecting (which is good in my terminology), nice head (not too big) and no sediment floating about in it. About 4.7% if memory serves me correctly.
