Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but does anyone know if the club has any plans to appoint a new chief scout? My favourite part of the N.Pearson reign was the change in transfer policy. However, it seemed heavily reliant on Steve Walsh, whose job it clearly was just to watch loads of prem reserve games and pass names on. As far as I know, both Steve Wigley and Darren Robinson are training ground coaches?
I think we're going to appoint several scouts, managed by an Arkela. Dib dib dib, dob dob dob, free woggle for each.
Frequently. Just as a side issue, I was thrown out of the scouts at only my third meeting, due to unfortunate incident with a ginger kid and a hat being flushed down the toilet. My mum was most upset, as the Arkela happened to be our next door neighbour. If that wasn't bad enough, our washing machine blew up while we were out one day and burnt the house down and we had to live with Arkela for over a month.
It's Akela then, and the leaders are only named after the Jungle Book characters for cubs, maybe beavers as well but I wouldn't know because I was never in them.
i wonder what wigley would say about nicky maynard ? we know his football skills But would his attitude to the game fit in with citys squad mentallity ? my one issue with maynard is his attitude when things dont go his way.
Well I only lasted one meeting in the girl guides.... Something about refusing to wear a silly skirt, attend church parade or sit still!
Id just like to point out my second comment in the post above this was funnier in my head. Now, Im not so sure...and yes Ruth, I do realise you're probably not a bloke in his 40s.
It made me laugh. All the jungle book references were indeed to do with cubs. I never graduated to scouts - what's the appropriate terminology for their 'packs'?
