Didn't he say he wasn't going to change too much? First game in, he seems to have kept things pretty much the same. Maybe now we'll see him slowly start to change things.

Aside from Bruce or Rooney can't think of a more deflating appointment.

Hope you’re right. No excuse for the lack of earlier substitutions though.

    Well that was interesting
    My thoughts,
Beale has relied heavily on the existing coaches input this week. After that display I think he may start challenging some of their views.
It may also allow some discussion with Speakman about weaknessess and potential transfer targets in January, without rocking the boat too much.
I don't think that it's going to be boring.

    Edit
Sometimes a coach learns more from a defeat than he does from a victory.
I accept I might be reaching here

You can't tell me that Beale, with all his super coaching abilities and experience, has watched these lads in training for a week and decided Ba can lead the line. The rumbles about TM being told who to pick don't seem as outlandish as I first thought them

Training is different to a match . So , I’m going to lift my spirits by optimistically opting for the idea that he decided he needed to have a look in real conditions , will have learnt a lot and will send out whatever’s necessary Tuesday. I’ m going for us to win 2-0

Surely if Speakman was picking the team one of the forwards would be playing. This conspiracy makes no sense.

If we are starting with no striker, and we are still level, i can understand sticking with it even if its not working too well. Once we go behind, just before half time, surely it is time to put somebody who is paid to score goals? If not at half time then surely by the 55 minute mark? Cant get my head around it. If we had Altidore on the bench i would throw him on. Get a ****ing striker on!

BA playing as our striker makes no sense.
I'm not saying they're true but it's seems more likely than an actual football manager would pick Ba

Speakman wants sacking as well, these owners will be out within a year. that summer transfer window was appalling.
