Newcastles run came to a end this weekend so expect their demise soon, Arsenal once again struggled and with tougher fixtures coming up expect their demise, Liverpool beat us but were still ****ing awful and their likely lose their next game, and spurs are on a incredible run which indicates theres only one thing coming up and thats a big fat blip lol
Get used to this, lads. Looking up at us in the table is going to become a regular feature for you, from now on. I was predicting the completion of the North London power-shift this season, much to the amusement of the Gunners, but now I am beginning to think that this season will also see us complete the London power-shift. And you know what? I might even put a tenner on the Toon finishing above you
Aside from the fact it cost me money I am not bothered about QPR winning particularly as it's against Stoke and their horrid manager
No need to worry about arsenal spurs etc. Just annoying that city united have made more ground on us. Our mental strength alone will get us third Minimum. Let's hope Avb can get us a bit more. I expect 75 points minimum but eas hoping for 80-85.
Hm. I rather fear that that is wishful thinking. Things can get a lot, lot worse for you. For example, I was reading in the news today that AVB was boasting that it would cost your Russian owner far too much to sack him. That doesn't sound very encouraging does it! When your manager is relying upon his contract, as opposed to the board's confidence, to keep him in a job. Shades of Benitez, anyone?
The Pienaar powershift has happened again. Spurs are ahead of Chelsea in the league for the second time since 1996. When are you bringing out the DVD and commemorative tea towel?
3 words....closet chelsea fan. Only explanation for being camped out on our boards so often. Let's for a second assume you finish above us and Arsenal for the first time in living memory. Is it an amazing achievement or just shows you up to be the biggest underachievers of the last 2 decades? Mmmm....
When they stop bringing out DVD's of league wins we can start treating them as a big club again. Until then, pretty much the Fulham of north London.
In fairness to Hoddle his points this time are valid. We've played Arsenal, Tottenham and you lot away from home already this season and trust me when I say Tottenham gave by far the strongest performance (although we were as woeful as they were good). For best part of a decade now Chelseas game has been based on a solid back line and a massively powerful midfield and forward line and that seems to have disintegrated almost overnight. Obviously you will be up there in and around top four but with so many top players coming to the end of their days you better hope that the youngsters coming through are able to step up to the plate pretty damn quick because at the moment you look like a club with serious issues. Sure you'll get 3 easy points at the weekend but I doubt that'll paper over the cracks for long. As for your Taxi picture Robby202...save it as I think you might be needing that for someone other than Hoddle Is God
We had the same conversation after Liverpool beat us 1-0 on Torres debut in Feb (and the season before that under Carlo; and the season before that under Gus; and the season before that under Avram.) As usual Spurs/Liverpool choked and we roled in second. We win the games that matter at the business end of the season when you guys bottle it
