Could we not ask the Club to set up collection points - in Club shops for example - to make easy for everyone to donate? Great idea which I am more than happy to publicise
I've mailed the club and safc.com, and had no response so far, which i find suprising. It's only been a day mind, so i'll reserve judgement.
BB i emailed the club last year as all of a sudden i stopped getting the Managers Post Match email, i'm still waiting for a reply although you would have thought in this instance it would be in their interest to respond?
Great idea mate, this would take in a lot more supporters who are not 606ers, Im sure we will take this idea up, in the meantime, the idea is still in its infancy like i said we are guaging the response to see if it was viable . It is and we are raising to the next level. Thanks so very much for your support i thank you all from the bottom of my heart
I am waiting for Ballin to get a few things sorted on his end, before we take the next dtep to collection points. please hang onto the kits for the moment.
THis is a great idea - I don't have any old shirts; I've usually ended up giving them to people I get chatting to in Canada. I am happy to give a few quid to help though. I'll keep my eyes on the thread.
You really are a sad little man, you're beyond pointless. Banned, and straight back with the same ****e. You're a knobhead, you're not funny, and this thread is getting sent to the club, typically you had to put ****e on it. ****er.
SORRY ABOUT THE OUTBUST JERSEY, this guy boils my blood, I apollogise to all 606ers i lost it. as the thread is going to the club ill have to delete my comments
What a sad person you are,There are no state handout like in europe, no free medical help nothing, so you would prefer to throw things away that dont fit any more than see them go to a good needy home, is there no compassion in your body, i have deleted my earlier comment to you, and request that you stop hijacking this thread in all your many guises. No doubt other supporters will look forward to commenting to you on other post i know i will, i may even start my own thread sbout you, as this is going to S.A.F.C. please dont write you negative thoughts here.
BB, is it not possible to erase these insulting threads? it's bad enough us having to read them but imagine someone at the club looking through them? Claims to be a Sunderland Supporter, not in my book he's not.
Ah, in that case I can go ahead and comment. I already have three volunteers in Nairobi, and I'll be emailing an expat who runs a similar programme here to see if the two can be merged. Next step, as Roger said, is to set up collection points in Sunderland, although we shouldn't rush into this before everything is in place (storage, delivery etc). >PS sorry for abandoning the thread BB, was in the field the whole day and I haven't even got home yet.
Just want to say this is a great idea and I want to contribute in any way I can. Got a few old sunderland shirts knocking about just finding a way to get them down to wherever they need is the issue. Would love to pledge my support though, and who knows where this could lead to? Remember those guys during the World cup who went to south africa and helped build a school. Just imagine the not606 school sitting in kenya somewhere. Would be class. Keep me posted!
