The result & manner of it is disappointing, but the fact we’re 6th in this division, says the same thing it says every year, it’s the Championship. We’ll win some we don’t expect, we’ll lose some we don’t expect, we’ll batter the ones we expect, we’ll get lucky against those we expect. We’re not the best & we’re not the worst. If somehow we get promoted, we’ll be in a relegation battle from the off, if we don’t get promoted, then we can & should build on this season & go for it again next year!
We changed to a 442 when Slater came on. Conceded soon afterwards. We changed things around again when Seri went off. Conceded soon afterwards. We changed it around again, near then end, when Christie went off. We didn’t concede. I give you Plan B, Plan C & Plan D. None of which had anything to do with us losing. Individual errors happen, at all levels. Cope better.
Of course it is, but it's also a bit early to be writing off our chances of promotion, which was my point.
Hi guys. Not here to gloat - just reading your opinions with honest interest. I wasn’t at the game so highlights, press reports and comments on both boards are all I have to go on. Liam R seems to disagree and thinks you were in complete control…..
Could have gone either way in truth. At 2-1 up I didn't feel in any real danger, but you took advantage of an error, and we quickly made another. Usual over-reactions and navel gazing following a reversal from the usual suspects. Hopefully we both continue to build on the first half of the season.
We had absolutely lost control in the lead up to the equaliser. Was just about to tweet as I was watching that we needed to change it because of how it was looking and by the time I’d finished you’d equalised.
I can’t comment on Liam R as a manager - he was a reasonable player for us just like his dad was. I’ll leave that to you guys
Well considering Sunderland don't look like capitalising at the moment, he could well be a top 6 manager at Xmas.
He's inexperienced but seems to be learning, in some areas more than others though. No doubt will have a future in management in and this level at least. Unfortunately for him/us this season, I personally think his inexperience is/will cost us.
I honestly don't see how you can say that when he's currenty outperforming his budget and most people's expectations to date. At least the owner and vice chairman have seen sense by protecting their asset recently.
Ran around a lot and worked hard. Did nowt spectacularly right or spectacularly wrong. Which is what Doherty does.
I can say that because I see a real chance for us to go up this season but I think his lack of experience will cost us. I never said he was or wasn't out performing anything. I also wasn't expecting us to go up/challenge this season, but after seeing how close the league is bar top 3/4 I think there's a real chance for us this season. Well done for trying to turn my post into something it wasn't though.
I don't see how you can say he's overachieving but likely to cost us anything when he's been the one responsible for getting us in this position in the first place. Barring a miracle at Sunderland were looking good for 6th at Xmas, so what's his so called 'inexperience' cost us so far? Top 4?
