The main guy is a Watford supporter who I've known since 2014 - we've both moved jobs 2 or 3 times since then but I continue to use him as he's very good at what he does - most of the time spent yesterday was therefore social - footie and putting the world to rights - his colleague, who I hadn't met before, was a Tunisian engineer by profession, now working with him - very bright fellow with some intriguing insights into what's happening around the world right now - so was a very enjoyable afternoon spent all round.

Mate - the food we had was quite reasonably priced for London - was the 2 bottles of a nice Italian white and the Espresso Martinis that ratcheted up the tariff - and the Tunisian guy only drank a single glass - so no surprise that I'm feeling a little 'jaded' this morning - although have been working since 8am <laugh>

Out tomorrow night, having chicken wingers starter and steak frites main.

So last night night was all about the fish!

Far more reasonably priced tomorrow, but it's just pub food stuff.

Sainsburys currently got daft deals on meat joints (half price if you have a Nectar card) - picked up a £22 piece of Toprump for £11 - we're going to make a Xmas Eve goulash with it - down at the mother-in-laws... and have it with dumplings!

Ordered some **** for gifts from a local food business. Had to get some extra bits for free delivery so got some croissants as bitches love croissants and a couple of scones for myself to have Xmas eve morning. Just smashed both the scones with peanut butter as the jam is tucked away somewhere behind all her Christmas nonsense. Great scones. Great combo.

The lamb was superb forgot pictures though. Got that method sorted but it's not hard tbh. Leftovers in the freezer for a new year curry.
