The case. THE case! ANY FOOKIN CASE! JUST PRESENT A FOOKIN CASE, SO WE CAN ALL GO TO BED. Here, I'll help. Take your pick...
Anyone want to mention that how far into your business plan you are is an argument about nothing for so many reasons. Secondly, how big a Club is brings into consideration so many subjective issues that there is no agreed parameters and only those who agree will agree and those who don’t will have so many outs. That being said to try and argue Villa are a bigger Club than us really is laughable.
Point 1 I tend to agree we dont know enough information to claim a fact , but it's highly likely given the number of years involved that I'm right. Point 2 you're in denial mate and as previously advised only a Newcastle fan would even attempt to argue Newcastle are a bigger club.. Aston Villa are one of the most successful clubs in the country.
Point 1. It would be relevant if both Clubs had the same plan but they won't have. Business Plans are constantly updated and revised in any event so there is no one starting point. It also depends upon what aims are targeted in the Business Plan. If one Plan has the ultimate target of reaching the top half of the PL and the other Plan is to win the PL it really is irrelevant as to how far on in their respective Plan each Club is. Point 2. "One of the most successful Clubs in the country." Seriously, Frankie Boyle and Don Rickles have serious competition. Just remind me, when was their last major trophy won? We aren't in the top section of "big clubs" but we're definitely in the same section as Villa.
Point 1 the difference in the plans is irrelevant to how far into the plans they are. Point 2 1982 and that was added to an already far superior trophy haul than Newcastles.
So, as I said, it's an argument about nothing. So, "one of the most successful Clubs in this country" last won a trophy in 1982 more than 40 years ago. Well, somebody has been hogging the trophies.
I agree it is an argument about nothing, but I never started the argument I merely explained something and people wanted an argument about it. There's a huge difference in the levels of success Villa have had to Newcastle and you can add Everton to that also. I'm comfortable with it , but because Newcastle fans tend to be overly invested in the significance of their club they're unable to acknowledge it.
PL seems a reasonable time period to review the two clubs Newcastle - 5 fewer games but 26 more wins and 5 fewer losses. 52 more points over that period ....
why because you get to omit the parts of history that don't suit ? Like the colossal difference in domestic and European awards for example?
Because in most instances you're discussing events that happened over a century ago. Even Hung can't remember that far back ....
If you're comparing the clubs then looking at the full history of both clubs is necessary. Unfortunately cherry picking periods of time is essentially just a fiddle job. Are we saying Leicester are a bigger club than both? Not a chance by my rule. The reason people are omitting the full history is because the full story is a very different story...ie the true story.
