All our matches away, apart from Ispwich, have been tight. Arguably we've been the better team in all, but we haven't played anybody (save Paulo Jewlio's Boys) off the park. We haven't played you guys yet, you've improved and are a bit of an unknown quantity. Adkins has relatively few matches to analyse; if the transformation is a great as what's being said.

Good to see all the banter - flipping early though isn't it?

There are rumours of a 'big signing' at St Mary's in January; alot of us think it might be Maynard - he's out of contract at the end of the season - you think you can hang onto him?

Bristoil will suffer on Saturday or I will suffer at work on Monday.

I can't see a honeymoon team outplaying an in-form team, even with Adomah and Maynard. I can see Fontaine trying for more clearances off the line than Maynard scoring chances.

You will survive the season but not the day.

We will win the battle and the war, although we are way off having a prem squad.

3-1 Saints with fatty scoring (that was for the cider boys. I wish I was his build)

Admittedly, I haven't seen you guys since your turnaround, but how much do you press the ball? On a scale of 1-10, how would you describe your team's fitness?

Those are the keys to outplaying us: if your team works extremely hard to deny our players any time on the ball and can counterattack quickly and effectively (and with Maynard, I suspect that you can do the latter), you will have a good chance to walk away with something. But unless your team is extremely fit, there is a good chance that what befell Reading -- and almost happened to Cardiff -- will happen to you as well, as your players tire and ours keep coming.

We press hard and we are very very quick and fit.
You boys are in for a shock.
City will win,we are a completly different team now.millen was clueless.
But respect to the saints for being top.
Let just say I would swap places in a shot.

Would take a point now, should be a good game which could go either way tbh. Our away form isn't bad but isnt brilliant either and City appear to have turned a corner, so yeah, should be close.

Are you mad and have you now looked at the table recently saintsmagic? Bristol City are in the relegation zone with 16 points and a (hilarious) goal difference of -12. Southampton are on 39 points with a goal difference of 23 points. I think there's a lot to be said for that and don't bend your expectation of the game after reading Bristol City supporters comments. This game will be done and dusted even before Jose Fonte's hair has had a chance to settle, and we'll be thinking about Hull at home.

even though they are probably guilty of the same, you are underrating them. their team does not belong in the relegation zone, and they are doing well now they have mcinnes. will be a tough test

Have you seen how City have done since getting their new manager? 10 points from a possible 15 does not scream to me as relegation candidates, yes it maybe just a honeymoon period that has to end at some point, but City do have some good players for this league and when in form can cause any team at this level problems. I would expect us to beat them at St Mary's but away and in form is a bit of a different story.

"the league table dont lie now **** off you cocky ****"

You seem to like the word cocky which is very ironic given that sentence.

The great thing about this season is that we show no signs of fading. We could easily have caught everyone by surprise at the beginning of the season, then slid down the table (a la Brighton), but we are still on an upward learning curve. We've all been waiting for the usual Saints team to appear, but now have to accept that Saints are this confident, talented fit side with a great manager. It is possible to lose a game, but Saints will just dust themselves off and carry on. Never too high, never too low.
