because we concede unnecessary goals which costs us points there's two types of people: those who want to improve and those who cant be bothered
We are improving and we all want to see us continuing to do so. That does not mean abandoning our adopted style of play, which includes (to the dismay of some) sometimes passing the ball to Allsop (or whoever is in goal for us)
Passing the ball to Allsop is fine Passing the ball to Seri to maybe fall over or miscontrol the ball on the edge of our penalty area is not fine Passing towards the touchline is a lot safer
That makes absolutely no sense, there's no lack of effort from our players and there's been significant improvements in all areas. I love the way we're playing, you don't, double win.
what doesnt make sense is you saying there's no lack of effort from our players as if somebody had complained about a lack of effort you love the way we concede goals by messing about at the back!? we can play good football but we would be better if we didnt concede unnecessary goals and waste time by passing the ball around at the back instead of attacking
But the good football we play sometimes starts with passing the ball around at the back. Would you rather we play a hit and hope pass forward (and probably lose possession) or keep the ball and wait for the right pass forward?
why do you think it has to be one of two extremes? why pass the ball to the centre of the edge of the penalty area and risk conceding a goal? why not kick or throw the ball wide to somebody in space? why not throw the ball to people on the half way line like Manchester City do?
I think you'll find that Allsop does sometimes kick the ball wide to someone on the half way line I don't know how accurate his throwing is. Maybe he finds it easier to play a simple pass to a defender or midfielder
Or in the case of Morton V Cardiff give the player a chance to receive the ball, turn, and pick out the run of Tufan who goes on to score. I think LR has called it risk and reward?
I just watched it back and they were passing the ball around with no challenges from Cardiff and they werent on the edge of our penalty area that is fine, it's when they are closed down on the edge of our area that we have problems I watched the "behind the scenes" video and it showed the view from the edge of the pitch you appreciate the skill involved a lot more than the view from high up on the half way line
No idea, the only info I can find is that this year's panel included Euro 2022 winner Ellen White, the former Olympian Colin Jackson and the Paralympian Ellie Simmons.
