He wasn’t that old. I am 73 now and George was only 2 or 3 years older than me. He did look older than he was, that is a fact. He was only about 65 when he passed away and that was less than 10 years ago.
Didn’t this game get moved in response to us moving the home game to the Friday because FC were at home? We inconvenienced their fans so they’re doing the same to us?
Rosie will be up in the stand tonight, serving his one match touchline ban. Let's hope it goes better than the last one (against Donny).
Bristol City fans have said its down to a police request not being able to handle last day of christmas shopping, christmas nights out and the football So they went with putting in on mad friday instead
when I lived in Hull the last day before Christmas Day was crazy I dont drink now and I avoid busy places around that time so I dont know what it is like now
Not what their club said so that sounds bollocks. Much more likely they had an option to swap due to being affected by us swapping due to the British Bulldogs competition clashing with our home game, so decided this was useful to give themselves a bit more rest before Boxing Day. Anyway. It is what it is. We just need to play like we did against Cardiff and send them into Christmas with sore everything.
It’s full of ****ing amateur drinkers, who aren’t used to the alcohol or the etiquette You should only be allowed in pubs at Christmas if you’ve had a pass stamped more than 50 times during the year by pubs to prove you’ve been in for 3 pints or more.
I remember one guy who found a broom in a pub and he stood at the door and tried to hook passers by round the neck and drag them into the pub then he crossed Carr Lane at a zebra crossing and was sweeping the crossing as he went and nobody tried to pass him, there was a big crowd of people walking slowly behind him His name was Brian Jones and whenever girls asked his name and he told them they didnt believe him because the Rolling Stones were famous then He was a cross country runner and he went out on a saturday night in London and got drunk and run the London marathon next morning in 2 hours 30 minutes
To be fair the only thing stated when it was announced hinted at fixture congestion but I've never known a club being able to just change a kick off time like that without Police or TV intervention.
Me neither. We've often seen headlines about opposition teams being short of numbers, but then still putting a competitive team out. Bit of a smoke screen I reckon
Can’t believe the Police would be that quick off the mark, and also I’m sure Brizzle would have said it was on Police request if that was the case.
That's my point. Normally its down to the police suggesting a KO time, Sky changing it for TV or like ours the venue being used. I genuinely can't think of any where the club have just changed it for the sake of it
Civil disobedience is the only way the fans should turn up on saturday at 3 pm and demand the match is played!
